Cool place! It was steps down the hill from our AirBnB and a quick breakfast option. I was glad we got there a little early because it got packed quickly and parking was difficult. I felt like the food was average, not a lot of interesting things on the menu. Asked for over medium and they were overcooked. Biscuits were good. We didn't try a pancake and should have but the waffle was pretty good. It was a bit expensive, $3 for 1 egg? Overall a cool, interesting place with a slightly above average breakfast.
I popped in around 2 pm on a Sunday and had the slim stack with a Dr. Pepper. I sat at the bar and the staff (Laura & Blake) were just awesome all around from refilling my drink before it was empty to talking and making me feel like I wasn’t there alone. Thanks y’all! I’ve already decided I’ll be back soon to try something different! The pancakes were delicious - shout out to the back!
Aretha's is a located on the north side of Chattanooga, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The location and ambiance are spot on when looking for a funky brunch. Parking is limited to the street, but it is a very safe area. The food was good, but not spectacular. I would say the pancakes and blueberry butter are the stars. The wait staff was friendly and on top of everything, but I happened to visit on a day where the host was new and struggling. Overall it was a solid four star experience.
Amazing! A little bit of a wait, but we got there early and only had to wait about 30 minutes. Totally worth it. Everyone was so nice and the food was great! Unfortunately, they didn't have waffles that day, I think the waffle maker was broken, but it's one of many reasons to go back when in town again!
Cute little place for breakfast. Food was decent and the pancakes are worth trying at least once. Staff and customers were all friendly. Very small
town family like feel. If you are in the area it is worth a visit.
Loved the vibes and our server. She was very attentive and sweet. The food didn’t live up to the hype, unfortunately. Bacon was overcooked, and the pancake was very dry and crunchy. Mediocre at best.
Come for the thickest pancakes you’ll ever have, then come back for the rad atmosphere and the great service. Everything always tastes amazing. The pancakes with the blueberry butter are delicious.
Service is fast but be prepped for a little wait for a table on the weekends. They don’t take reservations but trust me it’s worth it.
Other than the great breakfast, the inside is just awesome to see. So many things on the walls from music icons to a whole wall of old cereal box covers.
Our server Ty was great. Will be back next time in Chatt!
This was our first time coming here, and we really enjoyed our meal. Nice service and cool things to look at on the walls. We went around 12 noon, so it wasn't too busy, but i did hear they are busy in the morning and on weekends, but we enjoyed it, and We definitely will be back soon.
