Best WLM Reviews

I truly don’t usually write reviews, but this is to warn people who think this might be a decent barbecue stop to never step foot in this place. $47 spent on the most disgusting sliced roast beef aka their supposed “sliced brisket plate” and a pulled pork sandwich that is hardly better than what you got in your elementary school cafeteria. Oh and a side of fries, also pretty bad. I feel robbed having spent that money on almost inedible food. Please consider somewhere else for a meal.
Fantastic BBQ! We had the brisket plate. Very good shaved brisket. The fries were made to perfection. The smoked Mac n cheese my wife had was amazing. The sauce was very different, but good! I really liked it! The corn bread was a good split between sweet and savory. We always find a BBQ place when we travel, and this one hit the spot!
Definitely check the place out. You won't be sorry!
I stopped in for a quick bite to hold me over till dinner, I got the pulled pork sandwich to go.
The sandwich was not only delicious and fresh, but a HUGE portion. I did not get any sides.
Debbie at the register is a doll! I enjoyed her service as much as the great food.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We ordered Fries with beef gravy, ribs, pull pork, brisket with corn bread and smoked chicken wrings. The brisket is the best among all. The fries are very good. The wings on the other hand are a little too dry to my taste. Overall, pretty decent. We went during the spring break. Not many activities around and many restaurants in the deep creek region are closed or have limited opening hours.
Stopped by for some mid-afternoon chicken wings: got 2 dozen and they were fantastic! Great smoked flavor, and then an order with 'buffalo' sauce and an order with Old Bay. We also ordered the stuffed tater tots..they were ok, but I wouldn't order them again - only 6 for $12. Next time I'll try their ribs and brisket.
The service was friendly. The food was very disappointing. We had the brisket and pulled pork.
The brisket was very thin, lacked flavor and isn’t worth ordering.
The pulled pork was decent but nothing special.
They had a special “bacon cheddar” tots. Delicious.
In general, I don’t understand why people give this place quality reviews. The BBQ is on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of quality.
Very large servings! disappointed that the brisket fries didn't have large pieces of brisket, it was little crumbles mixed in the gravy (i specifically asked because i was willing to pay to add brisket)
the pulled pork was delicious and the sauce was sweet/briwn sugary which i love!
the blooming onion petals were delish, so was the dipping sauce!
the smoked mac was good but i expected a smokier flavor.
The food tasted great! It was very good run of the mill BBQ, but nothing to write home about. The men and ladies working here were so accommodating and kind, service is top notch, and that is really worth the praise.
My biggest complaint is the pricing. $26 for 2 lbs of meat and over $9 for a small slice of cake is pretty steep, in my humble opinion. The loaded tots appetizer (which was delicious) was also just over $11 if I remember right, which brought my total with tip over $50. They also do not have tap water, requiring you to buy bottles.
My complaint is one of value, not food quality.
