Always a great spot for a meal. One of my favorite late night spots but I wish they were open later! The service is good, but be aware that everything is fresh and can take a bit to come out. I personally think APD has the best pizza in Humboldt County (and no where else even comes close). It can be a little pricey but it’s worth it for a good meal.
Food is quite good, they have great pizza and sandwiches! They give large proportions! So that is always a plus! Waits can be long, so come on the earlier side. Also call ahead to see what wait times are like!
The Fish and Chips were nothing short of AMAZING! BIG, FRESH, NON-GREASY, THICK pieces of amazingness!!!! Even my Fish and Chips snobby parents who live in Monterey County were writing to each other about it, as they visited me individually! I’ve enjoyed APD’s Pest Turkey sandwiches, salads and Out n’ About Burgers and they are consistently out of this world. This is a must stop for locals and visitors alike. No “chance taking here! The photo was the last piece of our 3 piece meal. So much, we couldn’t finish, even being so delicious, our bellies are full!
Me and the crew found this hole in the wall place, lost, cold, and hungry. Very warm and welcoming place to grab a quick slice of pizza or to sit and relax to enjoy a club sandwich! Beer on tap and awesome art on the walls!!

The thing that makes this place really special is they catch their own fish for the fish and chips. It's the only place I know of that serves local fish almost everyday. And what's better than really fresh batter deep fried fish? This place isn't fancy, but the food is good, service is quick, Price is Right and the portions are enormous. Are enormous. It's perfect for the college town. Especially recommend anything with fish, fish and chips, fish tacos...
Food is good. This time the fries were overcooked and crispy like chips. 2nd place we've been to where the fries were ruined in this manner. Very stingy with the portion size of the coleslaw, they put it in the tiny cup you put the ketchup in! So I basically paid 15 bucks for a sandwich, no fries or drink and a tiny cup of coleslaw.
They give you your food without even having napkins at the ready, I had to ask for them after looking for them. Do not recommend.
Great food. Visited with my family. All 7 of us loved eating here. We had fish and chips, sandwiches and pizza. The tomato basil soup was worthy of 5 Michelin stars! Great vibes inside. Truly a lost coast authentic eatery.
Love the breaded fish, it's huge and just the right amount of crunchy. I don't really recommend the fries to-go though, but they've got nice little tables to sit down and dine.
