Peace River is a family camp ground, great place for your kids to learn to ride ATVs. They have primitive camp sites, shelters with 110v and water and RV sites. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Recently Lenny took over and has improved the grounds. I recommend this to everyone.
My review is more for the staff of Peace River Campground, my husband and our children have been coming since they reopened just about every weekend, until this past weekend 8/2-8/4, how can you say no riding in the river but advertise on your website, someone riding in the river, fine, my husband got stuck riding in the river when his ATV shut off, the heavyset one chicklet tooth Carney “security guard” came over and told my husband to get out of the river which we were trying when he came over, once getting the ATV out of the river we parked next to the river when this carney came over and told my husband to remove his wrist band, we asked why and he was just plain rude and was challenging my husband as he could see he was getting upset. No wonder he needs to wear a body cam, it’s not for our protection it’s for his! One day someone isn’t going to care and he’s going to get the wrath of someone! ||||Peace River you need to do better on your staff! ||Obviously if someone is drinking your staff needs to de-escalate not escalate the situation!
Was a nice campground, a little hard to navigate the camper to the campsite. The boat launch is incredibly rough, easy to carry a kayak down but I don't think it would be easy to get a boat in from the campground. Full hooks ups were great, bathhouse was great with plenty of individual showers and restrooms.
Wonderful wknd camping with my daughter. We brought the golf cart so didn’t get to make it to the river bc it was muddy. Definitely bring a 4 wheeler or side by side for riding the trails and getting to the river deck stairs. Overall it’s a great place to relax And unwind. Definitely recommended
The location is amazing. The staff not so much. To start in the main office in particular the elderly lady is dry, rude, non welcoming, to the point of clear racial discrimination. The security staff Has no clue how to communicate with guest. Rude as all can be and think that they are above all. In particular, one ponytail, old man that for years has been one of the most unpleasant people there. Sorry your life sucks, buddy. But that doesn’t give you the right to treat people like trash.
Place is pretty awesome. Staff is laid-back and helpful holidays get a little crazy but besides that it’s a fun time really hoping they bring in sand to rebuild the land
This place is perfect for a family weekend. My kids love it here. The bathrooms are always clean and well-maintained, with hot water in the showers. It's conveniently located near a Walmart. Also, it's Pet friendly!
Went tent camping with a group of 16. Really cool place to ride sxs. Super clean bathrooms
