This hotel is not bad. The heat was not adjustable so it would get really hot and you cannot turn the cool on. I had friends staying as well and they reported the same issues in their rooms. The front desk , "Michelle" was excellent!! Housekeeping good. Location is good too.
Cute room with all of the essentials. The hotel is in a great area with a lot of access to monuments, food, etc. Very clean hotel in general with a nice seating area, a gym, and a small snack stand in the lobby for late night or early morning cravings. It is nicely organized with friendly staff and onsite parking which is a real bonus for the area. We’d definitely return.
The rooms are terrible. It is difficult to control the temperature of the shower. The same holds for the room itself. It is winter and my room was hot, so I tried to cool it down, but the system is set so that only heat works in the winter. So the only way to achieve this was to open the windows. On the subject of the windows, the noise reduction was non-existent and therefore the street noise in the morning precluded sleeping in. In addition, the coffee maker in the room did not work and it was necessary to obtain another coffee machine. A charge of $150 (returnable) for incidentals was added at the outset of the reservation: one would think this would be for a minibar, but the refrigerator in the room was empty. One might not expect much from a hotel in this price range compared to what is classified as a four star hotel, but 3 stars is too much for this hotel. I suspect one can do much better in this price range. The only good feature of the hotel is the location---right next to George Washington University and a block from the Foggy bottom metro.
Hotel was very convenient to the GW Hospital. Room was large, a little dated but bathroom room was nice. No microwave in room, there is one downstairs. There are USB charging plugs near each of the nightstands, also a safe in the room.
The staff were all very nice and helpful. Huge thanks to the valet who understood were we leaving very early in the morning and had the car parked right out front for us.
We recently stayed at the Arc Hotel in Washington, DC. The hotel’s location was perfect, putting us right in the heart of DC and close to all the main attractions. Our room was spacious.||We’d like to give a special shoutout to Michelle. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Michelle’s warm and friendly attitude made such a difference, and her recommendations were spot on. ||We thank the great staff for our stay.
The hotel is well-located, with spacious and clean rooms. However, some details felt a bit outdated, like the air conditioning cover. There is a common area where you can work or eat, which is a nice touch, although it was unavailable on several days due to events. The staff was professional but not particularly friendly. Parking spaces are limited. Overall, a solid stay with room for improvement.
The hotel shut off the AC and Heat systems. Our room was HOT! We left the fan on and when we returned later our room was at 86°!!! They had turned the heat on and even though we had the thermostat set to COOL it blew hot air into our room. Staff were great, everything was clean but sleeping in heat sucks.
The nicest person working there was valet. He told us about the amenities available and made sure our vehicle was safe.
The room had a horrible odor coming out the drains and when I tried to tell the bald man at the desk he ignored me. He made sure he could charge my card the $50 for the valet parking though. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The rooms do not get cleaned thoroughly. The air does not work. The windows don't open. We found trash under the bed. There is a $150 hold. The location is by a college. Beautiful walk to the White House. Food in the area was eh. Not the greatest but not the worst. Street parking is scarce. I wouldn't book here again.
