I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Arbor Inn, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room was spotless, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities I could ask for. The bed was especially comfortable, making it easy to relax after a busy day. The location was ideal, offering both peace and quiet while still being close to key attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and will certainly be returning on my next trip!
We spent a couple days and nights here and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience we had! Quiet stay with a comfortable room, and a few lights from the beach! The staff were amazing as well, we had a great time conversing and upon check out the man gave a great artist recommendation in which we cruised home listening to setting the perfect end to our anniversary trip. I can’t thank the owners enough for kindly facilitating such a wonderful stay, and will definitely be booking here again!
We had an amazing stay at Arbor Inn! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was spotless, and the location couldn’t be more perfect – everything we needed was close by. I accidentally left my bag behind, and they were kind and honest enough to notify me right away and keep it safe until I could retrieve it. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again!
I stayed here the past weekend with my boyfriend. We came from SF to celebrate our anniversary in Monterey. Arbor inn was great! Our room was spacious and the bed was comfy (We booked the king with fireplace). The staff at reception were very friendly and accommodating. The overall vibe of this place was very charming and we will stay here again. The location was also great and a very quick drive to the main downtown area. I think having a continental breakfast would’ve made it better. Overall we had a great experience!
I've been staying at the Arbor Inn every year since 2021 during my solo motorcycle trips to Monterey, and it never disappoints. The clean, cozy rooms, especially those with fireplaces, are something I always look forward to. The location is perfect, close to Big Sur and Point Lobos Reserve, making it ideal for exploring the area. I appreciate the safe, secure parking and the quiet atmosphere. On my most recent trip, I brought my boyfriend, and we had a great stay together. Highly recommend!"
Our room was clean and comfortable. Good location too. The only thing that could be improved is that the cleaners need to pay attention to the walls. There were a couple of spots on the walls and I had to clean them off myself. Otherwise everything was clean.
When I walked in the room, I was overwhelmed by the strong odor of disinfectant. I had to open the window, turn on the fan in the bathroom as well as the air conditioning. It took well over an hour for the smell to become bearable.||I would rate the bed 3.5 out of 5 for comfort. It was not very firm. I don't know why but the pillows are less than standard size.||The hotel is not in a location where it is convenient to walk to any historical places or the waterfront. You must use a car.
Clean rooms, nice location, good price. But bring your patience & serenity!!!
Staff was very difficult.
- Desk clerk required an email from card holder even though my name was on the reservation as an additional guest.
- $150 credit card hold for "incidentals" not to be refunded for 5-7 business days!!! (And what incidentals? No mini-bar or anything else at motel to charge to room).
- Late checkout available for $50 surcharge... what?!?!
