Great place to stay! Very fun vibe, Rooms were standard hotel, but cute decorated, nice and clean. We had a fab view of the boardwalk. Great shower. Very nice front desk. Parking! This is a more budget motel, so the issue was something they had no control over-the walls were thin, and we heard our neighbors easily. If you need quiet, or have little that wake easy, this may not be the right choice. BUT, if you are 20 something, and friendly, this is perfect. Me, i just put in my earplugs, and slept just fine.
Well it was a room, and it was near the pier if you are looking for a two bedroom hotel that gives you well that was a room vibes. This could be for you, you can see the boardwalk from the hotel. It was quiet at night and the staff were friendly.
The room was dirty and laid out weird. It is a two bedroom but the bathroom is inside the bigger bedroom and the room isn't on one level there are steps all over the place. If you want a laugh and an adventure and don't mind feeling like you stepped into the Twilight dimension. Then this is definitely the room for you.
We picked this location because they are dog friendly. We loved the buildings painted art work! It was a plus for being across the street from the Broadwalk. The room layout were a little strange but it worked. Office were friendly.
Wow! We really loved staying at the aqua breeze inn. It was super adorable and had everything we needed for our short stay. The beds were comfy, the vibes were good, and the room was super swag. The man who helped us check in was a queen! So kind. Only reason we took off one star is because there was kinda a weirdo outside at night. But otherwise we weren’t super bothered and slept well!
Being across the street from the Boardwalk, beach, and a short walk to the wharf was a plus. Also, it was the least expensive option we were able to find that would accommodate our family of 5 on short notice (booked about 3 weeks prior). Staff was polite and helpful. The accommodations though were not so good. You can feel the wire springs on the beds. Overall conditions of the walls, floors, windows, ceiling, bathroom showed a lot of poorly installation & repaired damage. Electrical, plumbing, appliances worked fine and we all slept well, but the place really needs a detailed remodel.
We love the aqua breeze! We are a large family and have been coming to this hotel since my kids were little. We do a boardwalk trip every year and this hotel is the most convenient for us. I feel safe letting my young teen kids walk back and forth from the boardwalk on their own. The rooms are clean and have everything we need. The hotel is full of families and patrons of the boardwalk. It’s pretty quiet …just excited kids running around but that’s pretty much expected as everyone staying there have kids excited to be on vacation. The prices aren’t cheap which is fine because you are paying mostly for the location. And we all know what kind of people stay at those cheap motels… not something I want around my kids anyway. We love the aqua breeze!!!!!
Loved staying this little place! The location couldn't get better; It's directly across from the boardwalk, so we were able to walk over and didn't have to pay parking. Very affordable compared to other places in the area. Great service; very warm and welcoming. You can tell they are family-oriented. The rooms are cozy, and the water is HOT. It was a great experience overall, especially having just stayed at a popular hotel 2 nights prior where the service was terrible. Just goes to show that big names aren't everything! I recommend staying here the next time you visit Santa Cruz; we definitely will!
You pay for what you get. Cute, clean room. It’s right across from the Boardwalk, good parking if you get here early enough. Hotel is old with necessary upkeep. Beds are AWFUL! Beds are the only reason I am checking out after one night and going to see if I can find a hotel that is not $400 in the same area. If my back was not messed up from a car accident I would stay and tough it out!!
