I had a great experience today at AQ! The staff was very friendly from the moment I walked in and made the check in process seamless. My technician was ready for me right away. I had been going to another nail salon for about a year and a half, and it wasn’t anything personal, but I was really looking for an artist who could do more nail art and less of the basic stuff while getting great value. I had Julia today and she was absolutely fabulous! I completely love the work that he did and I will be back to see her.
Another wonderful and professional experience. The dipping polish (#024) color was better than i expected. As a walk-in, i experienced no wait time. ????????????????

I’ve been coming here awhile and normally I have no issue but this last visit thoroughly upset me. I was there over 2 hours and this is the new set that I was charged for. Besides it looking nothing like what I asked for, the paint job is the worst, especially considering the price. I had plans that day which required me to leave or else I would have stayed until they were right. I went back two days later to have this fixed. In addition to this sloppy work, two of the nails chipped in just 2 days. I sat in there another two hours for a polish change and was told it would be full price of $40. Of course I disputed that because I’m not paying for a mistake that’s not mine. They offered to take off EIGHT dollars. I planned on tipping the lady who serviced me the second time but they still told me I had to pay them at least $20 for the polish change. I expressed the $20 needed to go towards the lady as a tip but I doubt they will. Unfortunately, that meant the nail tech did not get a tip because I did not pay anything more.
I understand there will be times mistakes happen, but they did a horrible job handling this. I’ve been coming here for years and spent thousands of dollars at this point.
4 hours and $100+ later and I’m still not all the way thrilled about my nails.
Also, know they charge you a fee if you pay using a card.

Not impressed at all with this place. This was my first time going, Me and about 3 others waited over an hour to be helped. Service was fine, felt very over charged for the basic set I received, then 3 days later my nails were already chipped on the sides. And one nail broke off in my sleep. I take precaution to upkeep my acrylics so I was irritated I’ve never had my nails be in this condition after 3 days, so I call and ask for a refund so I could just go somewhere else, they said they don’t offer refunds but offered to fix my nails, so I made an appointment the same day. I walk in and waited at the desk and every single employee ignored me like I was literally invisible and even helped customers around me. I just sign in and sit down, I sit down for 20 minutes after my appointment time, still being ignored, until I finally said something to one of the employees. The technician that fixes my nail is clearly rushing, and the nail was a completely different shape from the rest of my nails. Complete waste of my time and money, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody. The photos are how my nails looked after 3 days.
The technicians and staff were very nice, but I was disappointed with the quality of service. My mom and I both got the cucumber pedicure, and while I know it’s not the most expensive option, I would have thought they would have spent longer than 20-25 minutes on us. This was definitely the shortest pedicure I’ve ever had. The massages were short (less than 3 minutes on each leg) with very little pressure. They barely filed my nails or clipped back cuticles, and the bottoms of my feet still feel very rough due to lack of callous removing. While the pedicure was okay, I wish it had been better quality for the price. Also, I was informed that all of their glitter polishes only come in gel, which I don’t like on my toes. It would be nice to have glitter options in regular paint. We also were never offered any drinks. I looked around the room and saw no one else had any either. Not sure if you have to ask for this, or if they should ask the customers, but the process on this was not clear. If it’s part of the price, I would assume it would be offered. Only noticed the little sign on the desk when I was checking out. It really seemed like they were in a rush so that they could get back to playing on their phones. There were no customers waiting and several other technicians available if others had walked in.
Also be aware they do charge a slight fee for using a card regardless of if it is debit or credit.
I have gone to Julia for about a year and have known her from a previous job. She does amazing work and I will always recommend her to anyone that is looking for a nail tech that can do designs or just want overall great customer service I have never left there unsatisfied! The photos are just some of the work she has done! I didn’t get pictures of the others !
I don’t usually do this but… I patronized AQ Nail Spa O'fallon In Illinois on Thursday. When I initially got them done they were ok. It was not the best work but I didn’t expect anything fancy.
The services I requested were a color change & 1 nail repair for my hands and a color change on my toes with NO pedicure. I honestly did not pay attention when I paid because I started feeling nauseous during my service. I was charged $75.
2 hours later after the salon closed my polish began to melt off my nails (see pictures below). I called the next morning to inquire about the fee and the state of my nails which they agreed that I could come in the next day Saturday (because I was not feeling well) to get my nails fixed and discuss charges.
When I arrived they agreed that I was charged for a fill in that I did not request nor receive. I was offered a fill in and a redo on my polish. When I sat to get my services the manager stated he will not allow me to get a fill and it’s my fault. After conversing for a moment my polish was removed and I left with my nails looking like the last photo.
I have no problem paying for quality. However, this was a poor job and money was stolen from me for services I did not receive. Now you do what you please with this knowledge but I DO NOT RECOMMEND their services and want you all to be aware of over charges and poor quality of work.
