Best WLM Reviews
I do not write negative reviews lightly, but this was over the top. During my first office visit, on 12/12/2024, I was having routine X rays taken. The dental technician gave me the typical, hard plastic bite plate, to hold between my teeth, while they changed the angles of the dental radiography unit. They took a few images and then there was, what sounded like, an explosion and the bite plate was violently ripped out of my mouth, gouging my inner gum line and snapping my head and neck hard left. I screamed and for a moment I was afraid to touch my mouth because I thought my teeth had been yanked out.
When Dr Ahmad came into the room, he asked if I was ok. I told him, “No, I’m not ok. I taste blood in my mouth, my teeth, jaw and neck hurt, because I just experienced whiplash. What caused this to happen?” Dr Ahmad explained to me that the cord, which had been attached to the bite plate between my teeth, had been stretched across the doorway and plugged into a laptop on the counter behind me. So, basically it was set up like a tripwire and that's exactly what happened: a person either entered or exited the room, tripped the cord which pulled the laptop off the counter and sent it crashing to the floor, while jerking the bite plate out of my mouth.
Now, at this point, if Dr Ahmad had said,” I am so sorry that this happened to you, it was a terrible mistake and I will do everything to make sure this never happens again. I will personally see to it that all my employees are trained to set up this configuration safely in the future.”
I’d have still been upset, but I am reasonable, because accidents happen and if the response was accountability and due diligence to fix the safety hazard, I would have accepted and forgiven the situation. But, that’s not what happened. Dr Ahmad did say he was sorry, but went on to tell me; that’s just the way they did things and there was no other way to set it up. I was dumbfounded, looking around the room I could see many different, safer solutions. Then he examined my mouth and informed me that my teeth were just fine, nothing to worry about, and handed me a little mirror, so I could see that the bleeding wasn’t that bad, and I was going to be just fine. I was in shock. I asked him again to clarify; that even after witnessing a patient being injured by this haphazard setup, he still had no intention of changing it?
He began to give me a litany of excuses and that’s when I walked out of his office. He made it very clear; my getting hurt by his unsafe system was a personal problem. No one from his office reached out the next day to follow up or file an incident report, not to mention inquire about my well being. Insult to injury.
I regret not reading the other reviews before going to this dentist. There is a documented pattern of negligence detailing how this business owner/service provider does not care, value, or respect his very nice staff or his trusting patients enough to ensure his practice is safe.
*If you are considering making an appointment at APY Dental, save yourself the trip and simply tie a string around your tooth, perhaps put a plastic cookie cutter or a lighter in your mouth, for that little bit of extra edge, and tie the other end of the string to a door knob. Now, have a friend or an enemy roundhouse kick the door shut. You’re welcome, problem solved, you will be just fine.
I was just needing a cleaning so I found this place through Groupon. I was literally in the chair for no more than 20 minutes. I can't call what I got a cleaning. The hygienist took xrays, flossed my teeth and then ran the little buffing tooth brush machine over my teeth in less than 1 minute. I don't think it even hit all my teeth. The dentist came in, looked at my teeth and did something else that resembled cleaning but took all of 2 minutes. They definitely did not scrape all the plaque off my teeth like every other dentist I've ever been to does. Would definitely not go back. Gave 2 stars because at least everyone was nice. But I could have done a better job cleaning my teeth at home.
I can't believe dr Ahmad has ANY bad reviews! I'm terrified of shots in my mouth and had poor dental health because I was so scared. I was recommended for full dentures before seeing him. He let's me skip the mouth shots and always makes sure I'm not in pain. Guess what??! 4 yrs later, my real teeth are in great shape and I never really needed those dumb shots. I love going to the dentist now and I go early to my appts so I can relax in the lobby's massage chair. He treats all my family members now and they love him too!!
please don’t go here PLEASE this is going to be a long review but please ????read it???? to start unknowing that this was the place my mom went to about a year back and they broke her tooth into 6 peices i scheduled my first appointment here for a cleaning and exam on my tooth i believed to be cracked/broken the cleaning wasn’t thoroughly done just a light brush and fluoride, the assistant was so sweet and i got along with her really well and it does make me sad i won’t see her again but will never go back to this place. first off after my cleaning he came in and poked my tooth with a metal tool and said ok we’re doing fillings today and walked out i told the assistant i did not want to do them that day and that i would schedule for another day and she told him for me because i never seen him again during that appointment. i went back a week or so later for my filling and i brought my boyfriend and his mom because she is a dental hygienist to make sure what they were doing was okay and that she would have eyes on it to make sure if anything went wrong there was educated eyes on what was happening. she didn’t like that there was tools left open on the table that weren’t sterilized before i got into the room they were open and sitting there and they were also there went i went in a few days later just to have them fix a mistake they made. he took 8 MINUTES to drill and fill my tooth and left and i didn’t see him again which was very alarming to my boyfriend, his mom, and i. i have been in pain ever since so i went to another dentist because anything warm HURTS and anything cold is even worse i cant eat or drink anything unless its room temp or it hurts. the new dentist said this was the 3rd story just she has heard and my moms was the 4th. (i went back 3 days later after my filling to APY to have them re fill my tooth or SOMETHING because he left sections unfilled and it was cutting my tongue and cheek when talking but instead he filed down my entire tooth flat ) the new dentist took x rays and my molar is about half the height than the other one and it is FLAT luckily im getting help in a few days but please i just dont think this doctor is educated enough to do these things. i may add my x ray photos before and after later one
I owe my BIG smile to Dr.Ahmed Elhamady and his team in more ways than one. Due to a series of unfortunate events, I have had more experience with dentists than I would care to admit. I have been going to APY Dental for the past 2 years now and I have to say Dr. Elhamady and his staff are great. He is very knowledgeable, happy to answer any questions or concerns and does a very good job of putting you at ease. Lets face it, going to the dentists isn't our favorite thing, especially if its for an emergency. But I actually look forward to my dental appointments, knowing my care is in capable hands. His staff are always pleasant and cheerful and they give you clear and upfront expectations for cost of care and timeline. The doctor is looking for ways to keep your costs down while still providing quality care. I highly recommend APY Dental!
I love going to APY Dental for all my dental needs. I am always welcomed in with smiles on each and every staff member while receiving the best care. I wasn't judged for my current insurance and always was explained options that best suited my needs. I will always recommend APY Dental and I am very blessed to have found them when I did. Thank you for restoring my confidence and allowing for me to regain my smile.
So my last dentist left me with major anxiety issues and my mom told me to come here cuz they are friendly. Well I had some fears of going in and wanted to cancel my appointment, but I did end up going in. And I am scared of shots in my mouth ,but had to have 6 teeth removed and get a partial denture. And WOW!!! Everyone from the front desk to check in, to billing, to assistants and right down to the doctor, they are ALL beyond the greatest people I have ever met. Talk about family, I can give them all hugs and the professional attitude and manor they all hold is far being spectacular to work with. I haven't seen a dentist in over 11years and I would definitely and do look forward to all my appointments. And they text and email you all your appointments and call in prescriptions for you as soon as you need them. I can't say enough about this place and all the people cuz they are all simply amazing to me. I would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone, the people are so family oriented and friendly. This is my dentist family now. Love these guys!!!!
This place was amazing the staff is outstanding I urge anyone that wants a friendly welcoming dentist to call thier dentist go here. I don’t have but state insurance right now I’ve been out of work with health issues of my own but these people were so much better than anyone else that accepts state insurance but I would go to them if I had the best coverage because they are so sweet and friendly The hygienist that starts with an A goes above and beyond the office manager by front desk rocks it . All the girls were good doctors nice It’s a great place to go and I got seen 2 days after contacting them
