Best WLM Reviews
Yesterday, 10/29/2024, my wife and I celebrated our 13th anniversary with dinner at Apt 4b. Overall, the food was incredible! We started with the crab dip, which was good, though the portion was extremely small for $20. We also had the cornbread, and it was delicious. I ordered the curry with what they called “JUMBO” shrimp —flavorful, but far from jumbo. These were closer to 31-40s, so the description felt misleading. My wife ordered the turkey wings and absolutely loved them. Service was fantastic, thanks to our server Darren, and with it being relatively slow, our food arrived quickly. The ambiance and chill vibes were perfect, but I would’ve given them a higher rating if the shrimp sizing had been accurately described.
Night out with my favorite people was fun, our staff was super engaging and made excellent recommendations. Delicious food and excellent atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
The atmosphere was great, but the food......the Penne Vodka with Oxtails was on the salty side! The rice in the Jerk Chicken and Rice was boiled way too soft and the chicken was salty. All that hype.....but we enjoyed the Appetizers, the Shrimp Taco was a little spicy and the Cornbread with Guava Butter was served hot, tasted like heave and was the Saviour of the night. For a Friday, the service was slow, also they would do well to add Chicken Wings and Fries to their menu. The drinks we worth it.
The food was awesome, turkey wings, cornbread, and lobster shrimp and grits. You will regret not getting the turkey wing appetizer. Our waitress Paulette understood her assignment and made great recommendations. The manager was accommodating and we will definitely return when we visit from NYC again. Great brunch to end our Sunday.
The crazy part is the atmosphere was perfect, the food was great, the service was great, but who in their right mind charges for water. How is the water more expensive than the soft drink? Keep that kind of stuff up and don't worry it won't be open long!
This place was a breath of fresh air! From the vibe, ambiance, and menu, it's a transformation to a chill food oasis. Now, finding it was a bit of an adventure, but a helpful person pointed my cousin and I in the right direction. I made a reservation because I heard it gets really busy here, but when we arrived, it wasn't too busy, which was good! They had the afro beats blasting, which I loved and had me vibing before we sat down! Once at our table, we scanned the qr code to view the brunch menu, which had some great items! I ordered a cocktail, which was excellent! It was refreshing, and I truly enjoyed that. We then ordered a jerk chicken omellete, island goddess salad, lobster shrimp and grits and turkey wings to go. My cousin enjoyed his omellete and from the small bite I had, that omellete was outstanding! The eggs were perfectly cooked and fluffy, and between the jerk chicken and cheese, it made for a delectable bite. I knew it was good because my cousin ate all his food! I had the island goddess salad and lobster shrimp and grits, which were outstanding! By the time I finished my grits, I was licking my fingers! I don't normally like nuts in my salad, but those candied pecans were the surprise sweetness I never thought a salad could have. It was a nice pop of sweet and crunchy, which I enjoyed. Now that lobster shrimp and grits was out of this world! I literally had to take a nap afterward because it was that good! That sauce the grits were smothered in was so flavorful, I could just eat that by itself! Those grits were so creamy and smooth that between that, the sauce and the seafood, I was in heaven. Every time I went in for a bite, it kept eating better and better. Plus, with the small amount of green onions on top to add a hint of freshness, it was sublime. Our meal was a nice decadent treat, and we will definitely be returning in the future! Pleasant vibe, friendly staff, and great decor to set the tone for a great meal. This restaurant came highly recommended by friends, and it more than exceeded our expectations!
I have heard many wonderful things about this place but they still managed to exceed my expectations.
The parking situation is a little weird and this may make it difficult for some to find this place if they are not specifically looking for it. The place is worth searching for.
I love the decor. The bar has a brilliant set up. The lounge area in the back is nice as well. I got to try the shrimp tacos, meatballs, and mac and cheese. All the food is well prepared and tastes great.
I will definitely return.
I enjoyed my visit, the atmosphere was warm and inviting like an Apartment of a friend or family member. The music was the perfect touch, a mix of old and new school which added to the ambiance.
I had the Coconut Curry Vegetables with peas and rice it was delicious, the combination of light spice and sweet was impeccable. For libation I add a "Du it to me" the base of which is Dusse. There are other vegetarian options that also sounded interesting, they are on my list for the next visit. My server Ms P, was attentive, funny and helpful when asking for suggestions - an absolute gem. I emplore you to try Apt 4b, you won't regret it.
