I wish I could down grade below one star. My daughter made me an appointment on October 2nd because my mouth was swollen. The appointment was suppose to be today Oct. 10. After leaving work early, I get there and waited for 30 minutes to get told I did not have an appointment. My daughter pulled up the time when she called. They obivously still did not believe us. The office manage Ms. Carlton was called (she never allowed me to speak to her.) I was told there was nothing they could do and they could not give me proof that I was there. Ms. Carlton said she would look in to it and I was given her business card for my employer that does not accept calling doctors. Might I add that she does not answer the phone when she is called.(My wife called to speak to her when I got home). I was offered a hand written note that I was there but I never go that either. Where do we go in Hopewell VA for decent health care?
As of today, I am no big fan. The secretaries, think that they can say anything to you over the phone, and expect you not to correct them. Definitely seeking a new primary care facility.
Have tried calling every day this week. Put on hold until 4:30 pm and get hung up on. I like my Dr., but it is getting very bad there. I guess I am going to start looking for another Dr. I will not continue to put up with this. Please do not send me some automated apologies. Just fix the problem.
Every time I call to schedule an appointment I can never get someone on the phone or get a mailbox that is repeatedly full. Finally got someone on the phone today at 4:48 pm and I get told everyone left the office. I said “oh I apologize I thought y’all closed at 5.” The receptionist then said rudely “yeah and it’s 4:48 everyone is gone”. I believe her name was Jayda. Either way this place has gone way down and I wouldn’t recommend it if it wasn’t for the doctors. The staff and owner seem nonchalant and do not care whether you come or not. I also do not need the same generic dry apology because nothing has been implemented to make a change.
Laura adds so much value to this Doctor's office. She provided a 5 star experience.
I gave it a one because of one thing alone. And that's poor service. Front desk ladies were pleasant. Even meeting the doctor and the rest of the staff that assisted me in my new patient visit were nice. The thing I'm not pleased with is the fact I've been waiting 2 months for results and new medications for my diabetes... I called one time to check, and I literally stayed on the phone on hold for an hour til I hung up. I tried again 2 weeks ago, and I had fallen asleep while on hold. Don't remember how long I was on hold, then, but luckily, I had the speaker by my ear, and the voice scared me awake. Was told then that my doctor was out that day. She took my info/message and said it would be passed along to the nurse to call me back on the matter. It's almost the 28th, and still no call. Guess my search for a new PC starts again....
Think actual medical staff is quite good. But the office staff ( not all) gives this facility a bad impression. Think there's very poor communication from patient, to physicians. When you call, the phone is NEVER answered on first ring!! You listen to the same old, annoying tune FOREVER!! Today was the worst....hung up after waiting 20+ minutes!! You should either hire more office workers or tell them to take shorter breaks. Two of my four family members have already left for better service & I am about to! AND whoever actually owns this facility, your REPEATED apologetic responses to poor reviews, shows how much YOU REALLY DON'T CARE!....
If I could give a zero star rating I would. Don't bother calling to make an appointment, you'll never get the receptionist. Also, don't bother dialing zero to leave a message for a return call, because the mailbox is full. It's been full for MONTHS. The only way I can get an appointment is to physically walk into the building. And when I do, there's never anyone in the waiting area. So why can't one of the four people working up front pick the phone up? It's almost as if they want the practice to fail. It's the only logical explanation I can come up with. I was a long time patient of Dr. Neifeld and always had the best service and care from his old practice. But when he moved to this practice it all went down hill. Everything about going here is horrible. More practitioners than actual doctors and again, I can never make an appointment by phone. Lastly, I used to be able to pay my bills over the phone with them, but now no one even picks up on that line. So, I have to drive to the office and pay in person. If you want an experience of what seeing a doctor, (excuse me) a nurse practitioner is like in a third world country, then by all means go there. I myself have had enough.
