Best WLM Reviews
We stayed at Applewood for 1 month and were pleasantly delighted with this urban RV park. Located with easy access to 70 and all major routes and also next to a sweet city park connected to the Clear Creek bike trail! Excellent! The staff are very sweet and helpful and, after 5 years of full time RV living I have to say the bathrooms are the BEST! Each shower is its own room with sink and commode. Spacious and quiet!
Nice park, usually quiet. And clean. We've stayed here more than once. But we booked a 9 day stay months ahead of time for our most recent visit. Then later we received an email solicitation with a Holiday Discount Offer. So we called to add 3 days to our stay and they told us we aren't allowed to use the discount offer they emailed to us because we had already booked. Not great customer service if they want to keep people coming back.
It was a fine enough spot, and the park with long walking trail behind was a bonus. But if you brought a big camper and not a car, this area is not very walking friendly. Bathrooms are as you'd expect for a shared facility, clean enough but still a lot of people for 8 shared restrooms. Laundry was spendy since one dryer wasn't working, but clean area. For a spot that also caters to long term usage it wasn't bad, but not a place I intend to revisit.
I had to go pump my tanks in my camper for my long drive to Missouri. The 2 gentlemen that helped me, don't know their names but one said he was a Texan and moved to Denver from Oregan (I think). They were both very gracious and kind and did not hesitate to help when asked to. It's a nice place to dump your tanks, $20 and easy in and out access.
We are three days in to a month long stay, prepaid of course. We’ve had no power during the heat of the day with temps in the high 90’s-low 100’s. Had to take the dogs someplace else to cool off. Management said they can’t fix it. When we asked if we could get our money back they stated only if we leave today. So we would have to find a new place at 4:00 on a Friday.
The location near parks and trails is the only saving grace for this park.
It was a very nice campground. Clean and quiet. There is no grass, however, only gravel. And, there are no bonfires permitted here. The campground is within city limits. There are also no amenities for children if that's of interest to you but, there are fabulous bike paths EVERYWHERE that lead to playgrounds - nature built and man-made. We will likely return if our daughter and granddaughter stay in the same area. THANK YOU APPLEWOOD!
Staff is friendly, clean campground, convenient to Denver and surrounding areas. Level sights, full hookups, picnic table. Nice park next door for walking pets, but my dog would just do business on the all gravel lot, too far to go to the tiny dog park area. Only complaint- it's pricey but most are in the area.
Stay away from here at all costs and definitely don't give them your card or any banking information. They've charged several people hundreds of dollars weeks or months after they moved (myself included). I wasn't even sent an invoice, they just charged my card $600 out of the blue for days I didn't even stay at the campground, then when I confronted them about it and threatened them with a lawyer, Elaina at the front desk caught a massive attitude with me, was extremely disrespectful and hung up on me mid conversation. Worst customer service I've ever received, and the most overpriced campground I've ever stayed at. Very small lots, all gravel, only 30 amps, and they charge you not only for power, but water now as well. I guess $1550 a month isn't enough when you're a greedy con artist. Extremely unprofessional, incompetent, and rude would be my evaluation of the management. Overpriced, under serviced, crowded, and ugly would be the words I'd use to describe the campground itself. Stay away for your own sake.
