My family and I enjoyed this country style restaurant.
1. They are located along with The Apple Barn & Cider Mill.
2. They have great service. The wait staff is kind and hospitable. Our server was very patient. He explained the menu and had a bit of small talk with our kids.
3. The food was really delicious and we loved the complementary apple wood Julio and apple fritters. The fried chicken, pot pie, and hamburger steak were our favorites. We did not care much for the Mac and cheese.
4. The pricing is very reasonable. This is a great place to stop and eat before or after exploring everything else the Apple Barn location has to offer.
We had a group of nine for our Thanksgiving meal. The reservations were for 12:45 but took a bit longer to get in than it should have. The food was very good and our server was really doing an excellent job keeping up with our table and several others. We started with vegetable soup, fritters and apple butter. We had three meats to choose from - ham, turkey and prime rib. Our sides were green beans, mashed potatoes, corn and sweet potato casserole. It was very filling.
This is the second time I have dined here. I absolutely love this place. The chicken was delicious mac and cheese was absolutely delicious and I usually don't like mac and cheese anywhere but home. Mashed potatoes was good. The broccoli soup was really good surprisingly I don't like soup or broccoli but it was delicious. The lady penny that served me and my family was very pleasant and did a wonderful job. She is very helpful and very friendly. I will definitely go back here when in town. I actually made this trip just for the dinner. I live 4 hours away and was coming through the area made a detour just to enjoy the wonderful food. My son had the chicken cordon blue and said it was very good my other son had the grilled cheese and really loved it. My wife also had the fried okra and she loved it as well. Also the bread with apple butter and the juice they give you was awesome. The price is not bad considering what all you get. Unlimited sides soup dinner and dessert and drink. We spend less than $100 before tip. I highly recommend this place can't wait to visit again.
Really enjoyed our lunch at the Farmhouse. It's a cute but very busy place. They started us out with apple fritters, apple butter, and small samples of apple cider. For lunch, I ordered the fried catfish, which came with mashed potatoes and grilled corn on the cob. Hubby ordered the chopped steak covered with gravy and mushrooms, and it came with mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese soup. All was very delicious.
Great food and great service. Dylon took good care of us. The meal started with complimentary apple fritters with house apple butter, and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. I had the Nashville hot chicken Mac and cheese and it was delicious. My wife had the sampler trio and it included some of the best chicken and dumplings and probably the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever had. Overall a great time.
I recently dined at Applewood Farmhouse Grill, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was impeccable – the staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
As for the food, it was nothing short of amazing! Every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh ingredients. Whether you’re a fan of classic comfort food or looking for something unique, their menu has something for everyone. I can honestly say this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time.
I’ll definitely be visiting Applewood Farmhouse Grill again before my trip is over. Highly recommend this gem if you're in the area!
For anyone who has eaten at the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant this is a "simpler" version of that restaurant. It's all the same foods just not served as a 6, 7, 8 course meal. I think it's better for families with antsy young children. There is a great children's menu. The food is served together and not a drawn-out event. There is a live display of birds in the middle of the dining room which keeps children entertained nicely. I overheard one of the servers talking with a table of children while were there. They are very "kid-friendly".
The food is delicious, like good home-cooking. We had meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. SOOOO GOOD!
If you dine here early enough in the day, there are many shops to enjoy. The last few times we have been there, it's been for late dinners and I'm always disappointed that I can't go to The Apple Barn or the winery or the ice cream shop or the candy store or the cider mill. I LOVE the Apple Barn. It has apples and cider but also many apple themed decorations, clothing, gifts, etc. We need to plan better.
We had a great, timely service. Food was tasty - fried chicken was fantastic! Potato soup and fresh hot apple fritters with apple buttle - so delicious!
