Best WLM Reviews
As always, every place I travel, they live up to their name. Eating great in the neighborhood! Alyssa took great care of me, extremely attentive even though they were very busy. Service was fast and friendly and the bourbon street chicken and shrimp was delicious. As I was writing this, Suzanne, the manager, stopped by to see how everything was. I had a great little conversation with her. Good people, good food! Thanks to your team for making me feel at home while on the road!
I wish this place was more consistent. Sometimes you go and the food is really good and then the next time it is really bad. We just had an early dinner there tonight, and it was one of the not so good times. I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp with mashed potatoes. The food came out hot so that is a plus. But the meal itself was disgusting. The shrimp were tiny salad shrimp that were very overcooked. The chicken was bland. Nothing tasted like it had any seasoning whatsoever and the entire dish was swimming in oil. The potatoes were very sticky and starchy and had a weird bitter flavor to them. The waitress was ok, friendly, but she saw that I didn't even eat three bites from the plate and told her she could remove it from the table. Didn't ask for a box or how the meal was. So we just asked for our ticket, paid for everything, and left. I think this is the last time I will be eating here.
This place was extremely busy on Veteran's Day. But the staff was extremely well prepared for the crowd coming in. We only waited about 5 minutes for a table, which was great! The waitress we had, he was very good at his job, always checking back with us to see if we needed anything. Which is great because some places very rarely check on you after they serve your food.
Most folks would probably be surprised or even disagree with my ratings. But let me explain.
I came in for lunch and ordered a simple hamburger and onion rings.
I waited 45 minutes for my food to arrive and only after I went and found my waiter, I explained that I had meetings I was going to be late for to ask how much longer it would be. My waitress explained that the onion rings were the hang-up. Shortly after, my food arrived.
Obviously, the onion rings were the issue because they were very hot and fresh. My hamburger, on the other hand, was very cold, and it seemed like it had sat for some time.
As I was eating, the manager on duty came and said he was very sorry that it took so long to get my food and that the meal was on him and not to worry about paying.
I finished my food quickly and left, leaving 15 dollars behind on the table. I was very surprised that someone would not only apologize but also take full responsibility for what happened.
I also know how little the waitresses make and that every tip goes a long way.
This is my reasoning for this rateing!
The blackened Cajun salmon was over seasoned and the mashed potatoes had a strange flavor. The broccoli wasn't seasoned at all or much. I thought maybe it was just me so I took it home and tried it again later. It went into the trash. We were never offered refills on our beverages. The beer and wine lists were unappealing.
My family and I came for dinner this past Sunday evening. The hostess didn't seem to be happy to be at work. Bummer because she is the first person we see when walking in for dinner. Our server, Dylan, however, was super friendly and very attentive. I ordered a steak and asked for it to be cooked medium, and it came out well done. Wasn't very tasty at all, but the 2 broccoli sides, shrimp, and the parmesan sauce were really good. The house salad was amazing.
4/24:
I ordered the Whisky Bacon burger. It was ok. Didn't have too much flavor like I was expecting it to have. Fries were cooked perfectly. Side salad with Ranch was great. The server, Chris, was kind and attentive. We also ordered an appetizer of the Boneless Wings. Those were good!
The few times I've been here, the food was delicious and super reasonably priced. Service was good. No complaints! This place slaps. Great for date night or just a casual outing with friends !
Service & food generally good. Beer is cold! Sometimes it takes too long to get the game put on the TV. After game or when there is no game they often play head knocking hip hop or rap way too loud or real trashy language where you can barely talk to your neighbor. I usually leave when that happens as do others.. We miss the oldies or 70s,v80, or 90s rock or rock or alt rock videos like they used to play. Many in there have told me the same thing.
Keep up the beer specials and food specials please.
