Went to celebrate my new job. Alex was my bartender/server and he was very friendly and smiling. Love the brownie ala mode bite and wonton tacos!!
I did a cub side order today. I ordered the double crunch shrimp with fries and cole slaw. The food never came out after checking in. I had to go in and get it. It wasn't hot because it had been sitting there. Went outside and checked the bag. I went back in told the young lady this is what I spent my money on. The portion of cole slaw was one bit. It didn't look like the picture. She offered to take the cup back and add more cole slaw. If this is customer service, I don't want it. The food was not the good and I wasted my money. You wasted my time and money and will never go to an Applebee's again. Should have gone to chick fil a where the customer service and food is great.
I chose this particular location based off the wonderful reviews, however, my dine-in experience cannot vouch for the reviews I’ve read.
My family and I dined in on 01/09/2024 around 7PM.
Kayleigh was our waitress. She was such a sweet young lady but very unprofessional.
It took her a long time to come take our order. She only brought out one entree and stated that the other entree was still cooking. Since we did the ''ALL YOU CAN EAT'' special, the other member in my party asked if she could just bring out something else since it was taking so long. Kayleigh acknowledged that she would. I also asked that she bring me back a condiment. She brought out the initial food order to my family member, which took another 10-15 minutes, but she didn’t bring out the requested condiment for my food. She disappeared for at least 20-30 minutes, until I had to ask another waiter to go and find her. I asked if she had forgotten all about what I kept asking her to bring me. I then asked for another round of food and I placed an order for my child.
When she finally came back, she only brought out the kid’s meal. She got the order wrong and stated that an item that was not listed on the menu was indeed supposed to come with that meal. She then stated that she would go check with her manager to see, but she did not. She also stated that the food was taking forever to come out because of the influx of orders, the screen was not working and they only had two cooks.
She never came back to check on us nor ask if we needed refills. I had to constantly ask for a refill!!!
I got so irritated with the wait time and dealing with her playing hide-and-seek that I asked the hostess for the manager!
Even the manager took all day to come out!!! He stated that he was going to address the issue, yet it still took forever to get our food!
The hostess came back to apologize on the waitress’ behalf and assured us that we were going to get our food. She told us that they were short staffed.
Later, we eventually got another batch of food but without the side item, which is supposed to come with it. We had to tell her that we wanted our entree and side item BOTH replenished. She was like, ''OH?!'' Like she didn’t know I asked for it plus she acted as if she didn’t know that she was supposed to bring it out regardless because that’s what the endless promotion stated! I had to ask her again if she figured out why she got my kids’ meal incorrect, and she offered me a replacement.
My last batch of food I requested was uncooked—RAW POULTRY!!!! I told her to tell her manager. She came back and didn’t inform us if he addressed the undercooked food. I had to ask her again just to get my bill discounted only $6.
When I paid my bill, Kayleigh DID NOT ask if she could keep my change!!!! She looked at me crazy and didn’t say a word!!!! She could have asked me if the change was for her to keep or not!!! I let her have it because not only did she NOT deserve a tip but because I took the high road. My patience was veryyy thin!!! Plus I been was ready to go!!!
It was so sad to see people getting serviced more quickly than us!!! People who came before and after us were enjoying their dinner while we were sitting there irritated, hungry, frustrated and with migraine!
Such a HORRIBLE experience at this location!!! I was expecting so much better!!! I wish I had one of the other waiters who actually cared about their customers!!!
Exceptional Service and a Warm Atmosphere!
I recently visited Applebee’s in Douglasville and had an unforgettable experience thanks to the incredible young lady who waited on me. From the moment I walked through the door, she greeted me with genuine excitement and warmth that immediately set a positive tone for my visit.
Her energy radiated across the room, making the atmosphere feel even more inviting. Not only was she my hostess, but she also served as my waitress, and her kindness and pleasant demeanor truly made my meal special. I felt valued and appreciated as a customer.
I was so impressed that I told her I would gladly drive across the county just to return! It’s rare to find such a delightful environment with happy, attentive staff. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience—I can’t wait to visit again.

Slow to seat and service slow but friendly. Food good but out of things as usual. Think they are dying. Update: Definitely close at rate they're going. Out of even more foods and beer! Advertised special drinks never available. Ordered margherita on rocks with salt. Got no ice blue tinted something with sugar. Not drinkable. And was my bd! Everyone still very friendly but still short handed. Not recommending them anymore for any reason. Sad. Used to be great!
I don't know who is in charge of this location, or who the management staff is.
Whoever is in charge needs to hire a lot more staff who are willing to work their designated shift.
We arrived on a Sunday evening.
I was excited to see a few cars in the parking lot because I took that to mean that there would be no wait.
I was sorely mistaken.
Upon entering the restaurant, there were very few customers, and a restaurant full of empty tables.
However, the host informed us that there would be a 20 minute wait. We quickly assessed that there had to be a lack of staff because there were plenty of empty tables.
As we waited, the host informed us that there was only ONE server for the entire restaurant!
We saw customers come in, wait a few minutes, and leave when they saw the lack of staff.
Yes, this Applebee's lost a lot of potential business from what I could see because of a severe lack of staff.
Just as we made a decision to go to another restaurant, the host told us that our table was ready.
Our table was not ready because the host cleaned the table as we stood and watched him put the condiments back in the container on the table, and watched him wipe the table with his shirt sleeve.
By the time we were seated, a second server was added to the shift, and he was our server.
Our server provided great service.
We placed our order, and received our food in about 30 minutes.
Our food and drinks were good.
Despite the lack of staff, our experience was ok. However, if management doesn't pull it together to fix their staffing issue, I don't see this location lasting for too much longer.
They’ve told us that there’s a one hour wait, two days in a row.
All of these empty tables. Please do better.
The waitress doesn’t even acknowledge customers, they wait until we walk out.
She waited a full 45 minutes. There’s no list for the wait or anything. They’re just placing random people at tables.
I’m a regular, I do NOT appreciate this. Hire more people or place signs that say there will be a one hour wait after 8pm.

Waitress light skin younger female with a tattoo on her chin was so rude she acted as if she didn’t wanna serve us. People came in after us received their food before we received our drinks. We had to flag her down for napkins and utensils. She never refilled our drink but she had time to get on the phone. I had a free appetizer coupon that I received Thursday she said that the coupon was redeemed in march. How? I just received it. HORRIBLE SERVICE
