Having some good eats with the family last night. We love that they have exclusive Mountain Dew Dark Berry Bash flavor that one can only get when eating at Applebee’s. For quite some time those Wonton Tacos have been a favorite of mine. Most everyone else opts for a burger & fries to order when we stop by. I do love the mini bite of brownie & ice cream for only $1.99. Perfect when you want a small portion of dessert.
There was about five of us ladies that went there for Happy Hour. The service was the bare minimum. Our waitress did not clear one thing from our table. She did not refill water. She took 15 minutes to be me a Togo container. Another 15 minutes to take my bill up. Then we ordered food to go she took about 30 minutes to bring that out. The service was terrible. I ordered the mango strawberry smoothie. It was delicious. There is an alcoholic drink called kiss on the lips. They need to add that to their menu. Being that they the smoothie is only missing the rum.
Wait for food and drinks was too long we asked for our apps to be checked on then they came out with our food. Service was lacking, and bartender and multiple servers were drinking on shift in front of my family including 3 kids. Cheese pizza barley had cheese. Very dissatisfied!
We ordered 2 Bourbon Street steaks, exactly the same except for the temperature of the steak. Both dinners came out. My steak was ordered as Med rare. It was served WELL DONE. Tommy, our server, placed the order correctly. Even confirmed with us the correct cooking temp when he took it back, which we appreciated. Your front of house floor manager compensated our meal. Which, we appreciated. We took our meal to go, because I was so frustrated at that point. You comped my meal, but you gave me a well done, sub bar piece of beef! Maybe it was because you knew I was taking it home?
Regardless, we were a two top. The speed of service was GREAT and we still tipped our server. We just wanted a hot meal to eat, together, that we didn't have to cook. I'm sorry, but you missed on this one. And, we will not likely be back anytime soon.
I'm not a chef. But wouldn't it make sense, to cook the larger, thinner steak to the Medium temp my husband ordered? Nope it was served to me, WELL DONE. They covered the vein of gristle, with ????. We checked My medium rare re-cook before we left the restaurant. It was cooked to temp. Got home, took one bite, all gristle.
Save your hard-earned money, if that matters to you.
Oh and the atmosphere, typical. I know, I know. We need to upgrade our restaurant choice. I already addressed that.
Surprisingly great customer service whenever I have visited here! I have been a regular customer here for many years and everyone has always been so nice and friendly. The only feedback I would give is to try and make a little more effort when it comes to customer wait times; still, I'm not going to leave less stars over that as I have worked customer service too and i know that it can sometimes be a challenging job. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
I was seated at a booth inside the bar area. The smell of urine was strong enough that I considered leaving but stayed as I had traveled quite a distance and was really hungry. My sandwich was fine but was not offered catsup to go with the French fries. I got my own from the bar and had my meal.
This place needs a deep cleaning including carpet steam cleaning.
Too many area options to return.
Got seated right away, the hostess was nice, but then we sat and sat and sat and no one ever came by, but yet the lady who I am pretty sure was the manager just stood over at the end of the bar chatting it up with the guy working at the bar, never even acknowledging us. And the place was empty, so I feel there was no excuse for this.
Needless to say we left, I keep giving this location chance after chance but I think I'm done trying at this point.
Stopped in for lunch & it was dead. More employees out in the dining room than customers socializing. Felt like we were in their own private break room. Really inconsiderate & not to mention rude to be talking so loudly & cussing while there is a child there. Not to mention conversations about graphic pregnancy stories. GO IN THE BACK! Food was also subpar, won't be back.
