Could not finish the steak. Over seasoned and the char was so much it overwhelmed the flavor. Tasted like a piece of burnt grease. The staff is great and attentive. It’s a shame the food is not worth coming. I’ll leave 3 stars instead of 2 because the staff really deserved the 5 ⭐️
Ate at the place on 11-3-24. I ordered the Bourbon street chicken and shrimp. There were 6 of us, and 4 ordered the chicken and shrimp. My chicken was black, tough, and smelled funny. After 2 bites, I sent it back. Well, my day, night, and today have been spent in the bathroom. I had the worst case of food poisoning. This was my first and last experience at this establishment!
This is only a suggestion, nothing more than that. Wife & I come here once in a while. Only because there are so many other eatery options nearby. Really no complaints over the years. Some time maybe a couple of years ago. Applebee's had a manager that could really read the room. A manager that was involved with the customers hospitality. Very well versed in Applebees menu and a great communicator. I've noticed the last couple of times we have visited. The new manager is the complete opposite, quite sure he is a great guy. But as far as visiting the patrons he simply walks by without a word. I thought it was odd the first time I noticed it. But time and time again he walks around the restaurant and says nothing. Tonight was no exception, nothing like thank you for coming, how is everything. Nothing!!! Though I was pleasantly surprised tonight he actually started a conversation with a person at the bar. Seems they know each other conversation lasted about 15 min. I guess my only suggestion would be to engage periodically with the customers. If only to say Hi. Maybe I'm asking to much, maybe I'm insensitive to his needs, maybe I'm not using the correct pronouns. Maybe, maybe & maybe I give up. Blessings Always!!!
For starters we take wings but taste was not so good:/ we not finished everything. But We liked steaks ???? service was very good
I went to this place yesterday night and it was a little packed but we were seated immediately. The food was great I enjoy the bourbon steak they have! So delicious. I also tried the hot Cheetos wings and they were good but yet again I love things with hot Cheetos on top. I also really just enjoy the mashed potatoes they have. Great service from our waiter.
My husband and I would go to Applebee's often at lunch. We always had the best server, Tommy. Its been a couple months since we last went and last week we decided to go have lunch. When we asked for him, the hostess said with a smirk he "no longer works here." This particular employee always has a BAD attitude. From her dry responses to her stare downs. Its gotten to the point that if we walk in and see her, we simply turn around and walk out. We rather take our business elsewhere where we are greeted with a smile instead of an eye roll. The service at this establishment really needs to be revamped!
The All You Can Eat deal, not really a deal. The service was sooooo slow. The waitress was nice but had too many tables to manage effectively. You can only order one item at a time, but 20 minutes to wait for each item ??? The taste of the riblets was like artificial or "fake" smoke flavor - not good at all. A nice lunch with friends was over 90 minutes, just waiting for food and refills on water. Just disappointed, and so were the friends who said they would NOT come back (it was their first time). I really wish we had a better experience. ????
Located at Southland Mall, no problem finding parking. It was pretty empty when we arrived. We went there because it was local and we wanted to grab a bite. The server was nice. Not the best food but acceptable. It was empty when we arrived and then more people started to arrive.
Would go back!
