Our lunch outing to Applebee's with my son turned out to be a delightful dining experience that went beyond just satisfying our hunger. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere, setting the tone for a comfortable and enjoyable meal.
The menu at Applebee's offered a wide variety of options, catering to both adult and kid tastes. What I appreciated most was the dedicated kids' menu, which wasn't just an afterthought. It featured a range of healthy to indulgent options, ensuring that even the pickiest eaters could find something to enjoy.
My son opted for the chicken tenders, which came with a side of applesauce and fries. He declared it "super yummy," which, coming from him, is high praise indeed. I chose the salmon and it was a hit. The salmon perfectly cooked, and the seasoning was spot on, providing a nice kick without being overpowering. The portion size was generous, leaving me satisfied but not overly stuffed.
One of the highlights of our visit was the level of service. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, striking the perfect balance of checking in on us and giving us space to enjoy our meal. She was particularly engaging with my son, making him laugh and ensuring his meal was exactly to his liking.
The value for money at Applebee's is something worth mentioning. Given the quality of the food, the portion sizes, and the overall dining experience, the prices were very reasonable. It's nice to know that you can go out for a meal without breaking the bank, especially when dining with family.

They were short on staff, but my waitress did their best to make sure everyone was happy and have everything we needed.
Atmosphere 3/5
Atmosphere was typical fast casual chain. Dimmed lights, slight odor, and little musty feel.
Pretzel stick was a nice hot soft bread. I personally enjoyed it in the current cold weather.

Chicken is like little nuggets you make with Zero care that is drench in sauce 3/5
French fries. Feel like pre made frozen fries that you cannot mess up 4/5

Let me tell you about an amazing staff member. Jimmie R is the best!!! Hands down, he gave the most excellent service. From the time I walked into the bar area until I left, he made sure everyone was taken care of, even someone else's customers. He didn't complain one bit, he smiled and made sure everyone was taken care of. I recommend going to see Jimmy R, I promise he will make sure your experience is worth it.
We decided to have dinner here because it was late and we knew Applebee's was still open. It was busy but the service was pretty good and prompt. The food hit the spot since we were really hungry. The quality is everything you can expect from Applebee's. The Fountains location is nice at night. After dinner, you might want to hang out a bit on the promenade, take a few photos, and enjoy the view of the freeway and the lake with the lights reflecting on the water. You'll also get treated to the live music performance that's playing from The Pub next door.
If I could give ZERO stars I would!!! We have had the worst experience here. The restaurant was almost empty, not busy to say the least. We sat for almost 10 minutes before we were helped. Our waiter started off GREAT!! Very polite, proceeded to take the order, and made sure we were good. Ordered an appetizer and our entrees. We received our entrees before we received our appetizer. Me and my kiddo actually had time to order a desert. Our waiter just seemed to disappear once we did. When we finished our desert, and was ready for our check.......NO SERVER!! WE waited almost 20 minutes, and I had to ask for my check. I asked one of the waitresses that was in the dining room at the time to please come to our table, SHE LOOKED AT ME AS IF I HAD GROWN TWO HEADS, PROCEEDED TO SAY SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHO OUR WAITER WAS, and NEVER HELPED. She politely sat back down and never missed a beat. The young man that did give us our check APOLOGIZED over and over again for any inconvenience. Mind you he had done NOTHING wrong. Our original server NEVER CAME BACK!!
The Stafford store really needs to step up it's game. This location was one of the best. It has really gone down these last few years!! Today was our last time trying to patronize this location. Thank you for a terrible experience.
I had a nice time, the food was really good and Manager Collin made it even better by taking out the time to show me the fish pond outside. I couldn't stop smiling due to the excellent hospitality. I will be back!
I recently had a great experience at Applebee’s! The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure my visit was smooth from start to finish. One employee, Toni really stood out with their exceptional service. They were friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable during my time there. It’s rare to find such dedicated service, and it truly made my visit memorable. I highly recommend this location and will definitely be coming back again. Thanks for the great experience, Applebee’s!
This Applebees is the personification of the phrase “you get what you pay for”… food was just as disgusting as the restaurant. Bread sticks, crumbs, and uneaten food all over the floor right when you walk in… of course I’m not expecting the food to look just like the menu photo because obviously it’s Applebees but jeez,
four cheese pasta with out a cheese in sight… with a brown soup for the pasta to bathe in.
Not forgetting to mention this mess took 40 minutes to come out. There wasn’t a point in asking for a replacement or different menu item because I don’t have another 40 minutes of my life to give.
I won’t even comment on the shrimp dinner.
