Applebee's are all the same to me which is why when I see one on the road I will pop in. This one was amazingly clean and everyone was friendly. My strawberry salad was underwhelming but still fresh and served it's purpose.
The greeters are stuck on themselves. The offér a deal like $25 gift card for $20 or $50 dollar card for $40 but you can't use it the day you buy it??? That's just messed up!!! Also the servers are not receptive of the customer needs. Did not feel welcomed and not in a hurry to return. Atmosphere sucked. The chicken was grilled good onions should have been cooked more but the dish tasted amazing! Id be the only reason I go back!!!
Got here at 8:05pm and was seated rite away. Had our order in by no later than 8:15. Wife ordered chicken, I ordered a 6oz. steak. Food still not out at 9pm. Heard banging on pans and yelling from the kitchen. IMO this place sucks. Steak when received was not well done.
nice Applebee's! the food was out quick and very yummy! our waitress (Crystal) was friendly and accommodating, a drink order and a meal order was messed up, and she was super sweet and fixed it for us very quickly!???? the cinnabon swirls are aaaamazing!!????
Our service was impeccable. The food was delicious. The prime dip was the best sandwich I've had in a very long time. The chicken alfredo was a tad dry and could have used more sauce. So I'd ask for extra. The cilantro rice was also very good. I also discovered I LOVE Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat Ale. ???? I'm definitely drinking that more. Three cheese Pene pasta was great as well.
Worst restaurant experience. Multiple tries
at this restaurant and have had absolutely bad service every time This time when the food was late both the server and manager ignored our table. The appetizer and food came out at about the same time. Server gave no indication that something was wrong. Other tables that ordered after us got their food. Dinners were not touched. When I asked the manager what she say wrong, she replied the portions looked right ..? They weren't touched! Why because the service was awful. The manager swept the restaurant 3 times and avoided our table each time. And when we spoke to she said she had know clue there was a problem? Restaurant awareness! Come on. This location has been a dumpster fire since 2019. Get your stuff together. You are better than this. Oh yeah never going to MT pleasant location ever again
My mom and I come here quite frequently. We love the 2 for $$ options, or we just share one giant appetizer. The food is always hot, and the staff are always friendly; open the door for you, offer to call you cabs when needed. It is a very popular place with the locals making it a bit noisy for my liking.
NOT Allergy Friendly - I don’t typically write these but my experience was so terrible I had to let others know for the future. The waitress was fantastic and this is not against her. The manager was 100% the problem. I had given the waitress my allergy card and she went to speak with her manager so they could work with me on it. The manager came out with my allergy card and proceeded to yell at me and make a scene about my allergies for 10 minutes without letting me speak. Saying things such as “it is illegal for me to check the ingredients for you” and “we have the ingredients but we can’t check it”. The whole time she was yelling and making a scene while interrupting me and not allowing me to try and speak with her. The waitress even seemed to try to be calming the manager down. She treated me so poorly that she made my girlfriend cry. This Applebees location needs to rethink who they have representing their staff. To anyone with allergies, I would avoid this location as they are clearly unable to help you figure out what you can and cannot eat, but I have had success at other locations. Once again I want to stress that the waitress was fantastic, and the manager was 100% the problem.
