This was the second time he's served us and both times just wonderful.
The bourbon chicken was very good and the mashed potatoes were so good
The riblet basket was very good and the fries were hot ( I hate cold fries)
It is clean inside and all of the employees have smiles and hellos.
The manager came around the restaurant and asked if the food was good and everything was ok. ( Kind of rarely done in our experiences)
DEFINATELY returning and asking to be sat in Joshua's area
Lovely dinner included a scrumptious salad. My chicken 3 cheese pasta was delicious. Steak meal was cooked to perfection. Our waitress so attentive, helpful and polite. She was in training but seemed so professional. Thank u for a wonderful night out.
Was there recently and had the $9.99 special bacon cheeseburger, which was surprisingly good, although the fries are just average. I also ordered the onion soup without bread/croutons (normally, these make up the majority of the volume of the soup and are a soggy mess with zero texture) and it took two tries to get this right, having sent the first bowl back to the kitchen. Round-2 was much better and arrived as ordered. A tip of the hat to my server, Chris, who was very helpful in getting the order right. She indicated that she had ordered it correctly the first time but that the kitchen had not read the order correctly. Most of the onion soup in this area is served this way, i.e. full of bread and no real croutons. I could take it with real croutons if they don't overwhelm the the soup. So there is some room for improvement in this area as any kitchen can make real croutons.
Our entrees were great. Sides of broccoli were brown and withered. Drinks were 90% ice so they emptied quickly. Server was rarely to found so we went most the meal with no drink refills.
Although I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants, I enjoy coming to this Applebee’s located on the north side of Holland. Pleasant environment with lots of big television screens. Super friendly service. Tasty food, but probably heavily processed.

Food was good but I had to ask for bread. Had to wait a little longer for our drinks but they were slammed. Next time I'll stick with Texas Roadhouse. ????
Love Applebee's, I always have the 4 cheese and chicken strips. The chicken was so hard I could barely cut it with a knife. My friend had the new chicken sandwich, the bread was hard....she did eat the chicken, it was good. Her fries where cold and old...didn't eat. I will continue to eat at Applebee's but not that location.
