9pm on a on Friday, and they were not busy. It was kind of nice. The atmosphere was welcoming and inviting.
Our bartender was on here game. We had ordered appetizers, and without hesitation, she informed us that they would be half price in 15 min. Thank you. She didn't have to do that. That is service. That is looking out for the guest. We had mozzarella sticks and the pretzel sticks. Both were pretty good. I really liked the pretzels (much better than Red Robin).

1May.2024 Went here for the first in this area. Service was good. The mozzarella sticks and bacon stuffed potato’s were ok.
The mixed drinks were good and service was the same. It was not packed so the food came out at a timely manner. The decor is of the local university athletes and downtown area of West Virginia.
It has been a while since I have gone to Applebee's. This location was pleasant with a waitress that was extremely friendly. I ordered a full rack of ribs and some unsweetened iced tea. The food came very quickly, however, the ribs we're barely warm. While I was not expecting them to be piping hot, I did expect the ribs to be a whole lot warmer than they were presented. This made the barbecue sauce on them a sticky paste rather than a sauce. So even though the establishment was clean, pleasant and the hostess and waitress, we're attentive, the food could have been a lot better.
Came in with a friend after a long day of traveling. Her drink took probably 10 minutes to come out, and the server barely spoke to us. Didn't even introduce herself.
Other than the appetizer of wings, which were good, the food was mediocre at best. Not warm, very bland, and server never checked on us again so couldn't get it fixed ;(
Tell me why this is the second time we been to this restaurant. We got seat but know one came to fetch are orders for like 30 minutes. Waitress came and said didn't know we was in her section. Then they said they were going to take are appetizer off the bill but they didn't
Please explain to me what this is?? We did order to be picked up and I was suppose to have received garlic mashed potatoes with my steak and sautéed garlic mushrooms. The mushrooms were cold and steak over done.. I can deal with that. I can even deal with my cheesy broccoli being glued together and cold themselves.. but for the life of me I can not figure out what this is suppose to be. There are big chucks of what looks to be fried apples.. but it smells like potatoes and gravy???????? This is DISCUSTING Martinsburg Apple Bees.! No excuses for it! DO BETTER!
Our waitress Jacee, was one of the best servers I have had in a long time. She made our time great, food was amazing. 10 stars, thanks for the great service.
Last night, we went to Applebee's in Martinsburg and we were watching our nephew, who was cranky and fussy.
Our waitress (her name was Kimberly) who was watching me try to sooth the baby and eat at the same time, came over and swooped the baby up and said "let me take care of him while you eat." (of course, she made sure it was okay first).
She proceeded to walk him around the restaurant until he fell sound asleep and not only continued serving us, but with a baby in her arms. She was kind, attentive and you could tell she had a heart of gold.
The internet loves to share negative stories, but sometimes a good story is worth outshining the negative.
If Kim ever sees this, thank you for showing us this small act of kindness last night and showing us folks what WV hospitality really means: treating everyone like family.
And Applebee's, give her a week vacation! She deserves it and represents your brand as a whole very well. ❤️
