Just gross! The boneless chicken was 95% bread and 5%chicken. The fries were cold and old, even after I had them replaced. The burger was sooo small and burnt. Broccoli was overcooked and had a weird smell to it. I wanted to say something to our waiter but I've already complained about the fries. I didn't want to be a bother. I hate wasting money going out to eat because you never get good food or customer service anymore.
My family and I arrived on 8/28/24 around 615pm . Party of 5 . Upon entry. No one greeted us. Upon looking around. I could find no staff except for Some young guy in the bar area looked at us and turned away. I noticed 5 tables that had guests at them. After 5 minutes of standing there . A lady (Megan E we found name on receipt) finally approached us and gruffly asked how many . We had 5 adults . She walked away from us without saying a word. She came back 1 minute later and gave a fake laugh: saying she thought they didn’t have any tables ready but forgot out this one in the back corner .
Then we get seated. Order drinks . Now here starts the fun part: every time Meagan would approach the table. She would then disappear into the BOH for around 5 minutes. Received our drinks and she took our appetizer order.
She didn’t come back from the BOH until she had our apps . By that time. We needed refills .
She took our order and was very short with us. Not even meting us finish a sentence before interrupting.
The apps were spin dip and cheese bites .
Spin dip had a layer of grease on top. Chips are thin and break trying to scoop the dip out.
Cheese bites are ok. What can I say about frozen pre made fried cheese
We ordered 2 bourbon steaks med rare with mashed potatoes and 1 side salad menu says topped with mushrooms and onions
1 sirloin with mashed potatoes and broccoli
1 club sandwich with fries and 3 cheese chicken penne
Chicken penne was good .
Club sandwich was sub standard. Asked for no tomato and it still came with tomato.
Fries were cold by the time it hit the table .
The 3 steaks were all ordered medium rare. All came out medium to medium well . Over cooked.
The bourbon steaks supposed to have mushroom and onions 1 came out with onions underneath the other had 3 mushrooms and 3 onions .
None of us ate the “garlic mashed potatoes “
They were like glue , so sticky you could hardly scoop them up. Little to no flavor. Almost like they had been sitting in a steam pan for hours .
No for the side salad . As she brought the dinner meals out, she faked laughed and said “oh I ran out of room for the salad “
Normally I like my salad before my main. It arrived 5 minutes after I got my steak
We asked for steak sauce and ranch … took 6 minutes for that . She asked us about refills , we said yes. And said ok. 10 minutes later . She comes back and asked if we wanted refills
After we begrudgingly ate what we could. We asked for 1 Togo box as she dropped off the ticket. 10 minutes later . She came from the BOH empty handed and took the credit card . I asked. Again for Togo box. She came back with receipts and I asked a 3rd time and she laughed like a blond forgetful person .
Service was poor and mind you only a handful of tables and she seemed to spend more time in the BOH than with customers or tables .
Food was terrible. For a chain restaurant, you’d think it would be impeccable.
No we didn’t complain . For 1 that’s not me . If they can’t get it right the 1st time . Then why bother . And 2 Meagan was never arbor table more than 30 seconds to even voice concern
And let’s mention the salt shaker on the table. Very unusable , very nasty . Some brown crap in it. Yes I have a pic

I am a restaurant manager, cook, server. Maybe I expect more out of places like this .i was not the one that paid. Or else I would’ve spoke up.
I don’t leave reviews to get free stuff. I leave in hopes places can fix their issues and also to warn potential customers of the crappiness
Why would it cost 30 bucks almost for this, and I didn't even finish it bc of the taste. Also, the Cole slaw was very bland. Potatoes need salt and pepper, and the steak doesn't seem like an 8 of sirloin.
We arrived Friday night around 815pm. The hostess was friendly and took us to a table in the bar. Before we could sit down the manager told us 4x that the kitchen was backed up and it would be 30 minutes before any food would come out. He repeated it enough that my husband asked if he was wanting us to leave. I and my daughter ordered sweet tea. When I told our waitress that the tea wasn't sweet. She corrected me stating "you mean it is not sweet enough" and told us she would check on it but there was nothing she could do. The tea had no sugar at all. When our waitress delivered our food, she just handed it to me so I could pass it down, she didn't say a word. She never came back to ask how the food was. I later flagged her down to tell her my mashed potatoes were ice cold. She said she would get a manager but then later returned with two bowls of mashed potatoes, set them on the table and walked away without saying a word. Two of my children were without a drink for most of the meal. But we didn't see our waitress again until we just wanted to leave. She brought us the check and we paid again without her saying anything. It was a very unwelcoming experience and one I am not willing to try again. We mainly went there tonight to have dessert after a basketball game but we didn't want to stay any longer so we did not get dessert. It was very disappointing.

I've stayed away because the tables used to have this weird sticky layer on them. They said it was from the cleaning solution.
Against my better judgement, we gave them another chance last night. Zero lights on in the parking lot or outside of the building. It was very dark, except for headlights. Portable AC units in the dining room. Restrooms were awful. After waiting 15 mins for drinks, watching another couple get up and walk out due to poor service, and everyone around us still waiting for orders, I asked our server to cancel our drinks from the bar and change our order to go. She came back a few minutes later to say they were boxing them up. We ordered by 9:15 and didn't get our appetizers until 9:50! They didn't give us any of the sauces that come with the items. Getting home to lame, dry food ticked me off even more. The bartender was running around like she was busy, which she may have been, but I didn't see her make one drink the entire time I was there. The only people being taken care of were the 4 people at the bar and someone who walked right up to her, placed an order, and left with her food before we got ours.
This service was some of the worst I have had. Our waitress was nice and did what she could but unfortunately that's the only good thing I can say about this visit.
As you can see from others, the review means nothing to them because they will just paste a link instead of giving actual customer service. It really seems like they're trying to avoid that all together.
This is the second time going here and their service was terrible. The restaurant had maybe 25 people if that in there. The server seemed to be hanging at the bar than keeping tabs on tables. Food was cold on arriving. Portions were exceptionally small. A 6oz steak came out the size of a half dollar. Very disappointed. Will not be returning.
The most horrific experience. I have ordered from them recently and the first time perfect. The second time, pretty bad. This third time, a nightmare.
Ordered well done streak - it was pink and squishy and gross.
Ordered garlic mashed potato’s as my two sides, received broccoli instead of my second order of mashed potatoes.
Fluid from the steak all over the entire bag and comtainer (second time this has happened).
Pasta did not come with the breadstick.
Ordered extra dipping sauce, did not get it.
Dipping sauce I did get, was 1/4 to 1/3 full in those tiny plastic ramekins.
And after all that, as always, their food was cold.
It makes me sad because I really enjoyed their food. But this is a nightmare. I don’t work hard to have a nice meal and it just be horrible. Their food is too expensive to begin with.
Beware of this location. Save yourself some time, anger, and sadness and go to cheddars or chilis near there. This Applebees is just uncaring and doesn’t care about the food that leaves their kitchen. Or the hard earned money you spend to have a nice meal from them. Beware!!
Very nice Applebee's location! Food was great , restaurant was clean and service 5 star. Shout out to Megan..she took the best care of us and even tho she was running and busy had a smile and cheerful attitude. I ordered wings with light sauce and they were perfectly done. Very happy with our meal.
