It was during the slow time, looking like the previous shift did nothing to help clean up all of the tables. The lone waitress had to do it all, while two others went about their own business--even deflecting the duty of seating other customers. No team work, no coordination. The food? Disappointingly average. I'm well aware of how tough it is to run a business these days, but management includes recognozing the conditions and helping out on the floor. You've got to do better to succeed. Always act as if every customer is important. You can overcome the labor shortages we now have.
I would honestly enjoy this place more if something was done about the blonde hostess attitude, the one with the large fake eyelashes. From the moment we walked in the door, she was unfriendly. She didn’t greet us, she only took us to a table and rolled her eyes when we asked for a high chair. Thought that was the end of it but throughout our dinner, we could hear her loudly complaining about how people were not tipping well. I understand that it may have been a bad night, but it really sours your dining experience. Our server was absolutely lovely, but I most likely won’t be dining in again if she is here.
It was amazing, and our waitress, she was the only one that was there, to wait on everyone, and didn't even have to write down what people were ordering. What a great memory she had. The four of us had a wonderful time and great food. Steak was perfect. All you can eat wings were delicious, my brother Ron said. And my burger ???? and fries, the burger was the best I'd had in a long time, so was my sister n laws ???? husband said he's broccoli ???? and the mashed potatoes ???? with his steak was fantastic ????
While the food tasted good both my fiance and I got very sick after we ate there last night. We both had steak(ribeye and sirloin), loaded mashed potatoes and salad and he had steamed broccoli with his. Within an hour after eatingy fiance got bad stomach pains and water diarrhea that lasted thru out the night but stopped. Mine hit middle of night with burning and painful cramps then water diarrhea that has lasted over 12 hours and still sick.
I had a very bad experience at applebees. We had a group of people waiting for over thirty minutes. We asked them what was taking so long because we saw many empty tables (over half of the restaurant was empty) and the server setting it up was finished. Then we overheard the manager say to wait to serve on us and help other people. It was clear and rude because other people came in and were seated way before us. We would appreciate better training instead of making us wait.
This happened the last time we were here and I said I would never come back. Against my better judgement, we tried again today. Over 30 minute wait to be seated. I get it if there weren’t tables available but the reality is that there were MANY tables available. They were not seating people because “their kitchen was backed up.”
Get people sat down, get them their drinks. Be customer service oriented!
Several families left after sitting or standing in the entrance for no reason. Lots of revenue lost. Poor management.
We had not been out on a cheap date night in a long time!!! Sat at bar for beer and cocktail and shared two appetizers... Chicken wonton tacos and beef nachos. This Applebee's is two and half hours from our old Applebee's hangout...but it made us reminisce and appreciate being able to get away for a couple hours.
We like almost everything on menu, but in the last few years are eating out less due to where we live now and our meals are smaller. We used to do the two for $20 that included an appetizer....and I see the menu offers three different price choices now. Instead of appetizer you can sub two salads...that's a nice option.
The highlight though was the friendly young man at the front door greeting and holding the door for guests entering and exiting. He shook the mens hand and complimented the women. He SMILED and you felt his genuine happiness to be doing his job. Our bartender/server was fine.....but from our seats at bar we got to enjoy every interaction this young man experienced. We loved it and will be back because of Him!!
The shrimp Tex mex was so good but the service from Taylor B was excellent. Sometimes I feel like quality customer service is dead but she showed me that it’s not. Unfortunately I didn’t get the hostess name but she was awesome as well. Thank you!
