Food was okay, nervous about the cleanliness of the rest of the establishment. The tables were FILTHY. Highchair requested for baby had caked on food and was so sticky I had to use three baby wipes to get it close to acceptable.
Bathroom smelled of backed up sewage and was very dingy/ unclean.
Judging on the amount of people in the restaurant (10 maybe), the locals knew better than we did and chose somewhere else.
Eating Good Wanton Chicken Tacos ???? and Ice Tea ???? with Salmon Broccoli and Green Beans… Always a good meal in the neighborhood.
The wait for Curbside to go pickup was like five minutes but I saw only three designated parking spaces. The cheeseburger was seasoned well and very flavorful with all the toppings except pickles. The fries were cold but when you order to go that happens. The queso dip was warm along with the chips. It was mildly spicy with peppers, tomatoes and several types of cheeses. The Bourbon St. Shrimp and Chicken was devoured so I assume it was salty but good. We are super excited for the Cinnamon Apple Blondie for dessert but we are waiting for the ice cream to freeze again. Warm desserts melt ice cream when packed all together.

My husband wanted to take me out to dinner for my birthday so we chose Applebee's because we liked the one on Shawnee Mission Parkway so we wanted to try this on on Johnson drive.
We went in a side door and proceeded to sit at a table. The guy working at the bar did not greet us or anything. No one came to the table or told us we had to wait to be seated. We sat at the table for 10 minutes. Decided to just leave a go somewhere else.
Izzy was our server, great service, great energy.
Service was very slow and poor. The waitress took forever to order our food. Then the food took forever to come out. The waitress finally refilled our drinks when we were getting ready to leave. Then it also took a while for us to get the tab. We arrived at 9:45pm and finally was able to leave at almost midnight. We did not stay after finishing our meals to chit-chat, we left immediately after we finally ate, paid our bills and left. It looked like some of the staff had their friends come and just sit around. Would not come here again.
came for a simple bacon cheese burger and fries with a beer... 5 people in the restraunt.. im at the bar.. 30 mins for my food.. the tomatoe and lettuce are the reject cuts, the fries are old af on arrival and thats on gawd. i asked for a new slice of tomato and lettuce, 20 mins go by and nothing, food got cold. i paid for my beer and left.. ask for a manager on the way out to share my experience... a 4 foot, 20 year old stepped up with a tone like i was a toddler that didnt like my food and said "oh im so sorry, i just came on shift".. *i didnt even say whats wrong yet* -- everyone else there hates their jobs.. scowls, frowns, and drawing out the clock, i wont be back and i just moved here. i was there for almost an hour total.. watch them bussle around doing nothing, gossiping over starbucks, etc.
everyone i meet will know to stay away from this dying store.
edit1: just saw the other reviews, they apprently are known for their reject cuts of veggies and poor staffing attitude.
edit2(their response): you cant copy/paste from a google review text into a browser, youll have to manually type every letter to submit the request youre asking for... that is ignorant. no one is going to do that and certainly not me.
maybe next time, give a customer a real email or set a time to come back irl to touch base with if you wanted a real ammends.
