Excellent late lunch. Jack took great care of us. Cashed in on the 50¢ (per wing) promo, Got 2 specialty drinks, a pretzel and cheese app, 15 buffalo wings, 15 assorted wings, and a couple of brownie bites for dessert. All were hot and delicious. Pretzels were a bit pricy.
The restaurant was very clean and well decorated with perfect lowish lighting and audible but not loud jazzy/upbeat country music.
It's a low average experience location to begin with. I've never expected much from an Applebee's but I did expect more than this. Our party was a group of 4.
Most booths were empty, and it definitely wasn't busy, as the servers had more than enough time to gossip (we got all the tea btw). We had to ask for our refills, even though there were only 2 tables in the entire section & we were one of them. We were here for over an hour and a half, most of which was just waiting on our servings.
We were served 1 combination appetizer, which came with an option of sauces for their boneless chicken wings, their honey BBQ was acknowledgable. We enjoyed 2 chicken tender platters, which included juicy chicken and crispy french fries.
My husband ordered the Mushroom & Swiss burger and was served the Whiskey burger. He ate it regardless because he lacks dietary restrictions & we had already waited as long as we had - mans was hungry.
Their Mac & cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders was less than mid, my friend was disappointed. Not even salt & pepper could fix it. I know it isn't a server issue but come on. The tenders with that meal were decent.
There was mold on the wall.
I went with a friend here for lunch around noon on Saturday. My first indication that this might not be the best idea should have been the lack of cars in the parking lot. The restaurant seemed to be lacking as far as cleanliness goes in general, as the bathroom door and floor seemed greasy. My main issue was when the food came out. After taking a few bites (unfortunately) I noticed a hair in my salad. I informed the server of this, and he apologized and took it away. Someone else did try to bring me another salad (which I did not request) after about 10 minutes, but at that point, I was just ready to leave. After getting the bill, I noticed the salad was taken off, and I am at least glad I did not have to ask for that to be done. Needless to say, this was my first, and last, visit to this Applebee’s location.
Dining area surrounds the bar area. The bar area is surrounded by TV’s with numerous options for sports. The wait staff is friendly. The atmosphere for a sports bar is very good. The food was excellent. Steak cooked to order and the southwest salad was delicious. Service was adequate until we started eating and wait staff didn’t return to refill our drinks until the very end and it was time for a check.
My waitress’ name was Destiny and I have not had service at that level in years. She was hands down the best waitress or waiter I’ve had since Covid. I’ve only left a tip that large for my future wife and sister. I felt like a priority and I haven’t felt that way in a long time when dining out. Thank you Destiny!
Patricia is an amazing bartender! Drinks turn out spectacular. Symone is an awesome, pretty, and personable server. Takisha is a great sever as well! Very friendly and super helpful! You don't see people like them every day is customer service/hospitality. For sure recommend requesting one of these lovely women if on duty for your experience here!
It's a shame that Applebee's isn't what it used to be. The furniture is so outdated. I felt like I was sitting in a bouncy bus seat that had lost its spring. Our waitress was awesome and the food was okay. The best part was the breadstick. I don't think we'll be going back just because of the way the place looks.
Glad to see sit down restaurant with deals better than McDump fast food type chains. I quit going to "crapplebees" years ago due to repeated terrible service but the $9.99 burger deal looked good and cheaper than FF chains. The waitress was awesome! Food was good but took way too long. A couple was seated 10 minutes after us and got their meal several minutes before we did. Not sure of the mixup but this is why 3 stars instead of 4. Restaurant was clean and busy at lunch. Would do this again instead of FF chains.
