Applebee's offers good food, and the service can be outstanding, but recently, it's been hit or miss. On one visit, the food is cooked to perfection, and the service is excellent. On another, the food is lukewarm at best, and it takes 40 minutes just to get a drink. I frequent this location because it's within walking distance, making it convenient. The drinks have always been good, regardless of the service quality.
The worst experience I had involved was waiting 50 minutes for my food, while every other table had dirty dishes that were not cleared the entire time. On a more average visit, my waitress was fantastic. She was upfront, explaining that they were short-staffed and the food would be slow, and she was doing her best, which I appreciated. Her honesty and effort made the situation understandable as she juggled serving 12 tables and helping with the food.
At its best, the food is perfectly cooked and served at a good temperature, the restaurant is clean, and the service is top-notch.
I decided to go with their bacon burger which besides being annoyingly big, tasted amazing! It seemed to be the best I ever had.
Service was a bit slow and sitting next to a window was chilly, but it was overall a great experience.
Was a friendly environment with nice service. Food is average but would come back again for sure.
Our server Angela H was the best. She was friendly and funny. My wife and I connected with her right away. She was very attentive to our needs like refilling our drinks and making sure that we had everything that we needed. She really was a kind and friendly person. The food was also very good. We asked for some special things that were not on the menu, like a chocolate milkshake, and she was able to accommodate our requests with a smile. We would definitely go back there soon.
We had a wonderful casual dining
experience- our waitress was so accommodating without being intrusive, and our meals were delicious. The mozzarella sticks/ red sauce were great and the Swiss/mushroom burger prepared the way I asked for it was outstanding. We have been eating here for years and will continue to do so!!
The food was very good. However, check your order if you are picking up your food
Just picked up an order and got fish and chips. No tater or cocktail sauce ordered the Cinnabon. No icing came with them like shown in the picture on the menu.
They do honor veterans' discounts, which being a veteran that was appreciated as most places do not honor veterans.
Just when you order things, the small items are important also.
I will go again but will check my order very carefully.
I thought missing things was a fast food issue, not a medium class restaurant .
Ordered Hamburger well well done and it came out very pink. The girl saw it and said I will make you another one. 10 minutes go by and they bring out the second one which was worst then the first. Fries were ice cold when they came out. Not sure how as there were only 4 tables of people including us. Waitress apologized over and over but it wasn't her fault. Beware! Save your money and go elsewhere.
I am here for work a lot. Main reason I come is atmosphere. Chris the bartender is one of the friendliest bartenders around. I actually choose the hotel there for the “hometown bar” experience I get. Keep up the great work.
