Food was good. Haven't been to an Applebee's in awhile. Received the check to find out that I was charged a fee for using my debit card. I understand if I was at a small, local business. But, at a chain restaurant....? We were a small group, but if we had several people in the party....that would have been too much. Might want to rethink that whole idea if you want to have repeat customers. Personally rethinking of coming back
Not our usual spot but kids wanted Applebee's ( We don't have any in Southern California). It was interesting, Huge clean restaurant but only 8 Patrons, place was dead. Took 5 minutes for drinks and another 10 for Apps. The Appetizer were mediocre and I regretted it later. Food was pretty good with no complaints for this type of food. All and all service could be better, and so healthier versions of food would be a compliment.
We went there for dinner and we were very disappointed with the food. The riblets did not taste good at all, kind of mushy like and kind of overcooked or maybe sitting in the warmer to long. They overcooked my grilled chicken in the Cesar salad and it had slimy pieces of lettuce, like the kind that comes out of bagged salad mixes, and dry over cooked "grilled" chicken, like the kind you get in the frozen section of the store..grill marks on it and the re-grilled.
As of today, Tuesday Jan 9 2024, I haven't heard back from them after filling out the questionnaire on the link they sent me.
I got one bite of onion in my burger but it does taste great. Expensive and it just meets expectations
Food was good but service was a bit slow. Maybe because it was a Tuesday but the server was not getting service help from the bar causing her to get far behind on almost every table. Please have both food and bar runners available at all times.
I was really disappointed in the difference between dine in and carry out. I went there with my son and I had the quesillda salad and it was delicious. So good in fact that I decided to order it for pick up about a week later and there was NO Grilled chicken on it NO black bean and corn salsa and the salad tasted like it was 3 days old. So I got old salad a little bit of pico and cheese on top of it and it's a 17.00 salad.
Maybe should have checked reviews first....nice restaurant, waitress was patient and kind, but poor food quality and prices.
When someone indicates they can't eat dairy and the cook smothers your breadstick in butter, that's just poor communication between waitress and cook. This was made more annoying because it came with a very disappointing salad...I cant believe their idea of a $16 chicken salad is cheese, chicken, and lettuce...without cheese my salad was literally just lettuce and chicken with the bottom of the lettuce smothered in dressing. (I didnt pour any dressing on because I didn't eat any of it! I was determined to take it home and add real veggies to make it worth my money) I should have read the ingredients list more carefully. Anyway, I struggled to find something within my dietary restrictions. Needless to say I won't be going back. Not for the price and the lack of food quality.
EDIT* just double checked their menu of the salad I had ordered. Turns out they never put the tomatoes on my salad...Lesson learned.
When walk up to the door you are greeted with a sign that they are short staffed so wait time may be longer. And they were right they were short handed but that was all they were right about. 2 waiters were working fast and furious. Food was ordered and brought out quick. The waiter was pleasant and kind. And the price was reasonable. We will be back.
