I’m so so disappointed, I was looking forward to eating my chicken ALFREDO ….. where is the Alfredo sauce at??? All that you can taste in this was just plain noodles and chicken. For $16 ?? It was so dry:( I’m just very disappointed. I couldn’t even have a good lunch.
Got the 2 for $25 deal, which is a great deal. Had honey-BBQ boneless wings, which were fried too long. The kitchen also plated some pieces that were obviously just breading broken off of other pieces. The 6oz sirloin seemed like a pretty good cut of meat, but they cooked all the life out of it. I ordered medium-rare, but had zero pink in the middle, and they buried it in their garlic spread which killed the beef's flavor. I did enjoy the mashed potatoes though. The service was really prompt and friendly, which I was very happy about. The place was clean, the ambience was good for lunch.
Update: Went to dinner last night. I ordered the ribs with fries. The ribs were delicious. They were served warm. Perfect temp to eat. The fries were old. They were hard. They were a big disappointment. I was so looking forward to some hot fresh French fries. Kind of ruined my dinner since I did not have anything else to eat with my ribs. I left them. So basically just ate my ribs.
I had such a wonderful experience. My food was fresh & it was all the correct temperature. I had the French onion soup, Asian sweet chili boneless wings & the chicken wonton tacos. I’m still craving the tacos. It was all delicious.
My service was awesome too.
It surely makes up for a horrible experience I recently had at a different restaurant.
The food was excellent, probably one of the best Applebee's we have been to so far. The waitress was pretty great too, great service.
I had not been to the Topeka Applebee's. This was my first-time visit. my husband and I were visiting at lunchtime on Friday. It was a busy time ( we went there around 2:00 noon). But luckily we got the table very soon.
The server was polite and good at taking care of us. We ordered chicken quesadillas for appetizers. It was so delicious and had great flavors. My husband ordered a hamburger and I ordered sirloin. Both are so scrumptious. Inside the restaurant was so clean and comfortable. They had nice comfy chairs and dining tables. Also, all over the table was clean. I recommend this Applebee's at Topeka.
Normally really good but tonight was just a terrible disappointment. Got sat and ordered drinks fairly quickly and the waitress told us the bar was a little backed up but shouldn’t be too long. My boyfriend got his soda while I waited on my drink. In between ordering our food and getting it (about 30 mins) two tables got sat and got their drinks. Once our food was dropped off and I asked the waitress where my drink was she said she didn’t know and would go check. By the time we both had finished our food she hadn’t come back and the two tables next to us got their second round of drinks. When I confronted a manager he couldn’t seem to understand why I was frustrated and his only solution was to get my drink which at that point we are done eating why wait more for something we should have had 40 minutes ago? The way the manager treated us just made me want to never come back which is too bad because 9 times out of 10 this place does pretty good.
We waited 15 minutes for someone to wait on us. 5 servers walked by but ignored us. As we left we told the girl at the door that had seated us not to put anyone at that tanker because they wouldn’t get waited on. She just looked at us, never said a thing. Might mention they were not that busy.
Manager charged me for a drink bucket after telling me I wasn't gonna get charged for it. And then charged me anyways. I asked why she said because I liked the wring drink bucket is why I was charged. I will no longer go there to eat. I hope corporate gets this and makes sure to take care of the issue at hand.
