We visited earlier this evening and had a very pleasant experience. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.Every employee that we encountered was polite and friendly also. The food was fantastic. We did not have to wait very long between ordering and receiving our food.
What a great place. Sat at the Bar & the Bartender Kaylahan was great. Restaurant was clean spoke to the Manager, Holland checked to make sure everything was great. Which it was. This is a Gluten Sensitive meal called Southwest Chicken Bowl. I would recommend stopping in anytime!!
Stopped in for lunch today while working in town and the staff was amazing and very prompt the food was hot and fresh the waitress was Elizabeth and she was excellent
The waiter was ok.My date and I ordered a house margarita and they were awful so we sent the drinks back. We were trying to order another drink but the manager came to the table and told us that we couldn't because we sent them back and the ABC doesn't allow them to serve people more drinks when they return drinks. He said, "Y'all can get those drinks back. I have never heard that before. I felt like he was being racist. The food wasn't good either. I love Applebee"s but this was the worst experience I have ever had.
They said they close at 3:45 because it was Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We arrived at 3:30 and ask and we can serve us they said yes. Turns out we have one of our best meals in the whole town the days i was working in Grenada. Since we were 9 guys from Iowa i can totally appreciate what they did for us cause most places were closed down to the holiday and the winter storm.
My husband and I both worked at Applebee's before. He is still a big fan and it's usually a "go to" spot for us. Yesterday was Father's day and naturally he wanted to stop there to eat. We were traveling back from Memphis to New Orleans. This pitiful little sirloin was what they initially gave him. He asked for medium and got very well done, worst cut steak in the place! The server told us she was going to get him another one. After FINISHING my food and looking for a to go box, he STILL didn't have his SECOND steak. The "manager" was SITTING down in a booth with what appeared to be HIS family. So I walked up and let him know what was going on. He wasn't aware of our problem, and went to see about the second steak. We FINALLY got it and THAT one was also WELL DONE. They comped his plate, BUT this was such a bad experience all the way around. It was his Father's Day meal and he got the shaft! He is an exceptional dad and didn't deserve this so I have to make it known! We will NEVER stop to eat ANYWHERE in Grenada, MS.
Applebee's has unfortunately seen a decline in service over the past year or two. While the servers are generally nice, the overall experience has deteriorated. On my most recent visit, I was seated and left waiting for over fifteen minutes before my order was taken, only to receive the wrong drink come out for my wife. No biggie if it was during a busy spell, but it was during a non-busy time. We ended up paying for our drinks and leaving to eat elsewhere.
Additionally, the cleanliness of the restaurant has taken a hit. The inside floors are often littered with straw papers and other trash. It's disappointing to see such a drop in quality from a place that used to be much better.
Restaurant was dirty. I should have taken that as a sign to leave. Bathrooms were gross. No sauce on the boneless wings it was a literal tray of bad samples. Cheesesticks were super dry and the marinara sauce was gross. Won't be back again.
