Let me start out by saying that I’ve read the one star reviews. With a few exceptions, I think they’re being a bit dramatic. This an Applebees in Dothan, Alabama people. Not a Michelin star restaurant in Paris.
The service was great. The food was pretty fair, not bad.
Our family of five went for lunch. My wife & I got the all you can eat shrimp, boneless wings, and rib cutlets. The kids ordered from the kids menu. Our orders were taken quickly, drinks & refills were prompt, and the food was cooked thoroughly, and delivered in a timely manner. Everything was reasonable. With a total ticket being about $55, not too bad I think. Only critique is the cleanliness could be improved of the facility & restroom.
We ordered a bourbon burger and Chicken, mushroom, shrimp with mashed potatoes. The service was slow, we saw our waitress running between all her tables. It seems they are short staffed she and another girl were the only waitress for all the tables, the presentation of the food was mediocre nothing similar of the picture in the menu, flavors were ok but the atmosphere was death and I can see other customers faces as they were waiting for the waitress to help them. Won’t come again to his place
Great Service with a Side of Laughter!
We visited the Applebee’s at 3050 Ross Clark Cir in Dothan, AL, and had the absolute pleasure of being served by Michelle. From the moment she greeted us, her energy was contagious, and her humor had us laughing before we even opened our menus.
Michelle was incredibly attentive, making sure our order was spot-on and bringing it out lightning fast with everything we needed—utensils, napkins, and even drink refills before we had to ask. She kept checking in just enough to make sure we were good but never felt intrusive.
The standout moment? When I jokingly mentioned my buddy needed a nipple for his beer, Michelle didn’t miss a beat, replying with, “Doesn’t every dude need a nipple?” We were in stitches. She somehow balanced professionalism with an easygoing vibe that made us feel right at home.
If you’re lucky enough to have Michelle as your server, get ready for great service and a whole lot of laughs. We’ll definitely be back!
Came here back in January for lunch for my daughters birthday. Only 1 waitress was there. Took forever for them to greet us. Our waitress took our order without writing down anything. This had me worried because there were 6 of us. And just as expected, she got a lot of our orders wrong, and she forgot things as well. Sides were not what we ordered on over half of our orders. Also, they were out of a few different things as well. The food came out cold about an hour later, and the food made all of us sick. The food didn't taste very good either like it would at a good applebees. A few people came in after us, and they sat for over 30 min without a waitress coming, and they wound up leaving. If you are that understaffed, you should just close down for the day. Won't be coming back to this applebees. Hope they got their staffing issue under control.

I’m honestly very disappointed with how my experience tonight was. My girlfriend and I was trying to figure out where to go to eat and decided on Applebee’s, and will probably never come back again. We walked in and were sat pretty quickly by the host, waitress came not too long after only asking for our drinks. When she brought us our drinks we ordered the appetizer chips and cheese dip. Came out after what felt like 10 minutes. Dip was pretty good, however the chips tasted very bland with little to no seasoning. We ordered once she brought us our appetizer, my girlfriend getting the sirloin with a salad and soup, and myself the chicken sandwich. After what felt like 30 minutes, we finally got our dishes. I would also like to add that my girlfriend’s soup was not served, and the waitress had asked if we didn’t get our soup. I’m sorry, but how does a waitress not realize their table hasn’t even gotten one of their sides. Anyways, my girlfriend’s sirloin was asked to be cooked medium. It was very tough, dry, and felt warm maybe even just cold. Her salad was probably the best thing she had. Then comes my chicken sandwich. The bottom bun was very soggy, barely any toppings for the large piece of chicken that came with it, and once again the chicken wasn’t that hot. I have a feeling that our food was just sitting there for a bit while we were waiting. I would also like to add that the soup had come out after both my girlfriend and I were done with our entrees. The soup itself was lackluster. The only thing I would say satisfied our appetite was the cheese dip. All that included, our bill came out to be $58 before we tipped. I didn’t even wanna attempt to talk to a manager, because honestly this night has served myself one final reminder, I will not be returning to this establishment under any circumstances.
Brianna, our server, was an absolute delight! Very friendly, funny, and attentive! The only issue I had was it was cold in the restaurant! It was not a real big deal, but I had to run back to the car for a jacket. The food was excellent!
I was going to give it 1 star since no one greeted us when we walked in everyone who worked there just stared. So we had to sit ourselves down at a booth and wait on a server. We wanted no sight of pink in our burgers but we still received pink. Don't get me wrong the food was fresh but they still didn't honor our wishes by cooking our food well done how we liked it. I most likely would not come back unless you all fix the customer service at your establishment.
