Sat at the bar as is my custom. Bartender was Allison, she was so friendly and attentive. Had the appetizer combo and a few double Jack's n diet. Highly recommend if you're cruising I-81 in Southern Virginia. Not a dive bar, excellent experience.
I have gone here a minimum of 4 times. Three times I ordered the NEIGHBORHOOD BURGER, and every time I order that, they give me the classic cheeseburger. One time they just forgot my side. This is always picked up by my coworkers who dont want to touch my food/go through it. I mean its EVERY TIME they mess up my order. All times have been refunded, only once was i given a refund and gift card for the inconvenience. I did ask for a gift card this time for the inconvenience, was told they could just remake the burger another time. But i dont plan on going back. At least to this location
I order the bourbon street steak medium rare, with cheesy broccoli. My steak was way overcooked. Almost no pink in it. I'd say medium well. I had them remake it and the second was cook correctly but way over seasoned. My broccoli was also overcooked. I was mushy and the cheese was hardened from being microwaved. And my drink was weak. Applebee's is my favorite restaurant and I am extremely disappointed. Not to mention my bill was 42$. Service only got 3 stars bc they remade my food. This Applebee's is a disgrace.
Edit to add- they respond to my review then email me offering a refund, I accepted- but it had been over a week, and still no refund. They now will not respond to my emails! Such crap! Avoid this place like the plague!
Ordered car side to go, two steak dinners both med rare, and two sides, and one bourbon street chicken and shrimp. Both steaks were well done, see by the pic, and both steak dinners were missing a side. What we got was tough and chewy and overdone hunks of steak, and one order of fries each. Chicken and shrimp was ok. Spent $70 on some fries and one dinner coz that's all that was edible
Got a decent burger here at a very good price and our drinks were good and also reasonably priced. Ashley provided excellent service and we tipped her accordingly. Overall a good experience and would return here again definitely. Only complaint was their extremely limited red wine choices but I completely understand better quality wines by the glass would be more expensive and that is not their market.
We asked the waitress if we could substitute salads for vegetables, and she said it was fine. She said we still had one more side each to choose. When we git the bill, we were charged full price for the 2 steak dinners with an added $4.99 for each salad! When we asked about all the extra charges, she checked with a more senior waitress and told us that salads are extra with the meal. Had we known that we wouldn't have substituted. Also, I asked fir onion rings as my second side and was charged an extra $6.99 for them. Don't ask fir substitutions unless you are willing to pay over $80 for a 50 dollar meal!!!
Last minute stop for dinner at the halfway mark of a long road trip.

Went here December 1. And took us about 15 minutes to get a server to come to our table. Only cause I asked another server where ours was. Then the server was just not happy to be there it seemed. Food was meh. Ordered the prime rib sandwich. Onions wasn’t sautéed like they needed to be. Meat was tough and over cooked. Bread was the same.
Mozzarella sticks was burnt.
