For a simple night out it is a great place to take the wife and kids. Food is not overly expensive and they have a half decent selection aswell. Drinks are reasonably priced and of wide veriety. The main draw is the staff who are all lovely people who are great to have a chat with. Overall would recommend.
What better way to ward off the dreariness of a dark rainy day than to have a meal. And my dear friend suggested Applebee’s.
I was delightfully surprised.
Upon walking in, we were greeted by Maryann, a most gracious host. She was a breath of fresh air!
Lexi, our attentive server, clinched the win - and we have not even started eating.
The food was gastronomically good! My friend had the sirloin and I the chicken and shrimp.
I highly recommend Applebee’s Groton CT.
We arrived with 15 people for my mom's birthday celebration. We called them ahead of time to give them heads up but they don't take reservations nor do they pass on the information to the shift. We waited but they quickly set up a table. Sat and had one waitress who was on her game. Only one mistake a wrong meal but I call that a good evening with all these people. She filled up drinks n dips when we needed it. No complaints on the food. Other than getting wrong meal. They brought out dessert for my mom n we Sang to her. The smiles priceless. Great time.
Came in for dinner with my daughter and boyfriend. Had great service and meals were great. Waitress was very accommodating and pleasant. Overall again great time.
Lost a star because today I got a salad and somehow a pepper which was small got into my salad and im allergic. I broke out in hives and still had to pay full price. ????
Ordered on door dash. Our order came with a whole meal missing. When I called, I didn’t even get an apology. My husband had to drive the 20 min to go get it. When he got there, it wasn’t even ready && they did nothing to compensate us.
We went here twice in the last month and a half. The first time my son's fries were stone cold and old. The three cheese chicken penne was luke warm but the plate was hot. This past time my husbands salad was soggy from the dressing. We sent it back and got the dressing on the side. Both times the lettuce looked old. The salad was stone cold, if it was any colder it would have been frozen. We had the same waitress both times. She has no personality. I want to like this place but it's hard. Get your crap together or you'll be closed soon.
My girlfriend and I ordered takeout today. My prime rib sandwich was chewy and tasted old. My girlfriend got a burger and barely any fries, on top of that the fries were hard and obviously old. How can you charge 23 dollars for a prime rib sandwich that literally tastes like a dog chew toy? Unacceptable. Thanks for wasting my $$$$! Save yourself the high bill and crappy food, go elsewhere!!
The guy who took my order was polite, perky and precise; he correctly and confidently repeated back my order to me in such an orderly fashion I was absolutely shocked.
I dumbly assumed the rating was due to unreasonable, weary, tired travelers (as this is close to RI).
However- my order was wrong. The marinara was disgusting and cold (looked exactly like the salsa). I called to complain, so they could fix it, so my bf could run out AGAIN to get me what I wanted…… I was on hold; after she already told me she knew my order was messed up, because she packed it.
This is inexcusable. Do better,
The food was off. We got the appetizer to start. The marinara sauce had a weird aftertaste, the chicken pieces were dry. My broccoli could've been streamed a tad longer. My actual dinner was good but my friends dish wasn't so great
