New staff and management... and it shows! The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive. If you haven't been here for a while it's worth to come in and give them another shot. Drastically changed for the better.
Waited 15 mins to get seated,
and when the lady came out she had a full mouth of food, and was chewing her food while talking to us! Very unprofessional!
We were told it was a 15 min wait for a table, so we went to the bar.
Waited another 15 mins for the our bartender Michelle.
As I’m sitting at the bar, I’m looking around at the atmosphere, and saw 2 tables looking for their servers. Instead of the servers being attentive to their tables, they were chatting.
The boneless wings had a really odd color to them, and so did my salmon. Almost pale in color.
I was also told that my 3 cheese bacon Mac and cheese couldn’t come out without the bacon because it’s already mixed in. That was total bull! The bacon came sprinkled on top of my Mac n cheese. It wasn’t “mixed in”.
I’ll never come here again.
If this is the Applebee's on Abercorn St, it is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. My husband and brother in law are Veterans and we took them to eat there today. Let me tell you, as expected it was very busy. I was so happy Stacey their manager was there. She took over and the place started moving. I saw her cleaning tables, helped place drink orders and calling out names for table sittings. Fantastic manager!!! I don't live in Savannah, wish she was in Alabama. Oh, don't want to leave our Server out. The young man was great! Food was wonderful! I did call their headquarters because I'm pretty sure they get more complaints than compliments and I wanted them to know our experience was terrific! Thank you, Stacey
Stop by with my husband to have a quick meal after arriving in Savannah on vacation labor day weekend. We arrived around 2:30pm, was seated right away by hostess. Our waitress Shanice was very nice but overwhelm. Two additional parties were place in her area after we sat down.
Our appetizer were serve with no plates to share, I had to ask hostess for napkins. Our meal was serve by a young gentleman, he ask who had what and quickly left. He did not ask if we needed anything or take the empty appetizer plate. I cleared our table after our meal.
I had to once again ask the hostess for mayo and mustard.
To make matters worst a family of 4 was sitting behind us were talking loudly on their phone with speaker on. We ask for our check and sat on bench by hostess area until we paid.
The staff definitely need training. The hostess could walk around to assist the waitress. The young guy that serve our meals need training on not just sitting the meal down, can I get you anything else.
We were excited to see Applebees due to ours closed years ago. What a nightmare.

This place is horrible the sever was horrible! There was bugs flying around!! Me and my Husband was sitting at the bar on December 7th @ 9pm! In my opinion get rid of the whole staff from this night!!! I can go on and on!! I'm so disappointed that's my blood pressure is on 10!!!! We will never visit this establishment ever again!!! In Savannah Ga on Abercorn !!! ????????????????
The food was a let down this time after I bragged on the Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp, it was filled with grease and the potatoes are floating in this liquid that congealed, she was not happy! With that being said overall it's still a pretty good experience but I think with the labor shortages the cooks aren't that experienced maybe?
I did the curbside. Got there 15 mins early marked I was there. Waited 5 mins after my pickup and gave a call to the store. They said oh yea that orders been ready for a while. So this made me wonder why arent yall doing your jobs and bringing out my food?
To top it off I got buffalo chicken and they had ZERO sauce, the container had none in it. Who eats sauceless saucy chicken. HORRIBLE
We had the pleasure of meeting Joe today there as well we met Sheryl, who was training. They were both all smiles. Joe was terrific and very friendly. They made our whole day better. Happy Thanksgiving and see you next time. Also the burgers and holiday drinks were great
