HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Worst dining experience I have ever had by far waitress was very unattending and as a group of 4 we arrived maybe a hour before they close ordered apps with our meals which took at least 20 or so minutes to get an it was cold an old like it had been sittin and the restaurant was not busy at all so there’s no excuse to make food for a 4 top poor quality as I have cooked and served in plenty of restaurants. Truly unacceptable that I had to pay $50 for food that was barely touched and was disgusting manager offered a 10%off discount after trying to get us to take more food home we’re not taking more food when you couldn’t even prepare what we ordered correctly my steak was rare medium rare at best and I ordered it medium well. Do not go to this Applebees worst service and food I’ve ever experienced. Ps stomaches feeling pretty gross after it thanks for making me pay for raw food.
Twice now we went here. Both times subpar experiences. First time cold pasta. So we paid the bill and left. Then, the manager stopped us and gave us 15 dollars off the card, so we tried again. Gave the pasta a second chance. Overcooked AGAIN. Will never return.
The only reason I put a 3 for food was steak was well done wgrn ordered medium rare. But the waitress got us a new one cooked correctly & the manager gave us a discount on the whole ticket plus a delicious shake. Very satisfied with everything from food to staff! I wish I would've got the name of waitress & mansger.
We were a party of seven on a Wednesday night and the place wasn't overly busy. It took forever to get our drinks and I watched as our server was busing tables. The food when it finally arrived was lukewarm. I get it that they were probably short staffed but there wasn't a manager in sight to help out. My late wife worked in food service for 34 years and she would not have been happy. Disappointed ????
I will say the food is delicious. But the service is very rude. I dash and when I walk into this place not one server will acknowledge the drivers . It's bad enough that we have to walk clear across the restaurant to get our food and then have to stand there looking like an idiot wondering if we will ever receive our orders but to not even be acknowledged is not good service. A simple hi would be great just so we know you see us.
We stopped after a Dubuque University womens hockey game. 1/2 price apps are the way to go! Even had a cup of hot chocolate to warm up. Our Server was great, very attentive and nice!
Great experience at this Applebee's! Our server Neveah was very attentive to our order and checked on us through our dinner. A young man who was a manager there also came by our table and was super nice. The both had great energy and always smiling and are both a great asset to this location. Whenever I am back in Dubuque I will definitely go back to this restaurant and ask for Neveah to be our server. Thank you!
We went to our Dubuque Applebees on Sunday Oct . 27th. We were seated a d waited 18 mins to be waited on. Then when ordering my husband ordered the bourbon steak at which the waitress said it came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. He ordered it medium. When it came it was chared on one side and we'll done. No broccoli and potatoes cold. When asked about broccoli the waitress said I was wrong it doesn't come with that. We asked to speak to manager and a very UNPROFESSIONAL Man came out and had very little concern about the problem. Absolutely Nothing was done for us. Very Disappointed
