This will be one of my better reviews for Applebees. I go there for my own meals and to doordash. I may have reviewed service with less than 5 stars in the past, but this time the food, the drinks and the service were all ‘on point’ as one may say. The black berry lemonade drink featured below in the pick was one of their best $5 drinks by far!
First off when a customer walks up, the side conversations with your co-workers needs to pause. And don’t be a smart Alec when answering the phones the kid tells me “I thought you asked if this is cape lanes so he just said sure”, I called because of the poor effort to make my whiskey bacon burger fresh and correctly. They also forgot my fries. The cook forgot to put onion Tanglers on the burger, gave me one pickle old bacon and beef patty and a little sauce added as well I’ll include the pictures. I didn’t even want them to remake it I just asked for my money back. I spent $60 on my order and waited over 45 minutes I get home and that’s what I receive. I’m highly disappointed in the service, in the effort to serve good food, and the lack of effort to make things right after I brought the burger back. I did not want to wait another 45 minutes for another burger to be made. I deserve more than a refund for that experience!
I paid 3.00 extra for the little dab of slaw. It would have been fine if it would have been edible. It tasted like it was from the day before. The waitress was not friendly at all. She forgot our lemons. Then forgot our cheese sauce. We had to ask for refills on drinks. We have been here many times and I see it going down hill. This was probably our last.
Upon arrival, we stood in the entrance way for 10-15 minutes waiting to be seated. When taken to a table, we were given no
Silverware. Our waitress looked high out of her mind when she finally “greeted” us. My food came before I was ever given the pleasure of having utensils. I sat there for 30 plus minutes waiting for a refill of my drink. It took so long to get one that half the table ended up needed one when she finally came back around. All she did was walk past us and ignore us. Our food was absolutely disgusting. Our noodles were scorched and the steak and chicken tasted like dog food. Definitely wish we had a better experience.
When we first got there we were almost immediately seated which is great! We took a bit to order but our appetizers took a while to come out. We waited over 15 minutes for drink refills while our waitress sat on the other side of the restaurant eating her food, we asked another employee for refills. Our food took forever to come out, we have been there for an hour and a half at that point. When the food came out it was terrible, the steak my cousin got medium was actually well done and basically rubber. The ribs my cousins fiancé got were terrible and he couldn’t really chew them. The burgers my friend and I for were burned. The lettuce on the bottom of mine were the end parts and super thick and there was barely any sauce on it. We waited a while to get our checks and when we did we left no tips and left notes on the receipts about the service and the food. The food was not our waitresses fault but if it had come out earlier it probably would’ve been better had it not been sitting under a warmer lamp or something. Long story short the food was not good, waitress was nice but had terrible service skills.
Went in for veterans day dinner and left without ordering. It wasn't busy at all around 1700-1730 when I went. Sat at the bar and the bartender who was supposed to take my order just took off and started cleaning tables away from the bar area it doesn't make sense. Didn't even offer water. I waited 20mins after I was told someone would be with me and left. Went to chili's and they were much busier yet somehow were able to take my order. I'm just so glad for the patriotic staff at chili's
Not real pleased with my visit there this afternoon! Took them about a half an hour or more just to get us some shrimp and riblets. Had to get my own silverware. Then food was finally brought they did not have slaw. Waitress said they just ran out as she was going to get some. I was kind of upset about this and I'm sure she could tell so about 10 minutes later a man came out with some. The food was okay I don't have a real issue with that but the service was not that great and basically overall was not a really good setting. The place was not that busy they should have been able to get of us a lot quicker than what they did I'll think three or four times about going there again.
The general manager was rude and created an unwelcoming environment. The only time that I saw her was she came out of the back to berate the other wait staff, and it made us uncomfortable. The server we had was very helpful and friendly, but I don't want to come back to a location where the managers treat their workers so poorly.
