Best WLM Reviews

We had a really pleasant dining experience at Applebee's. The atmosphere was chill, Christmas music was playing in the background. The restaurant and booths were neat and clean. Our greeter and server were polite and professional. Now to go on about the food.... We had the 8 Oz. Sirloin with grilled shrimp covered in Parmesan sauce. The steak was so tender, cooked to perfection and the shrimp and creamy sauce melted in my mouth. Two sides that went perfectly with our entree, were garlic mashed potatoes and cilantro rice. I chose iced tea with lemon wedges for my beverage. The Steak and Shrimp Parmesan is the best item I have had from Applebee's, hands down,so flavorful and filling. I highly recommend it.
If you're familiar with the food here, you know it's just okay and a bit expensive. The atmosphere is fun and it's one of the few restaurants open late. The service is decent, if you order a drink from a table and not the bar, it does take a long time. And it always takes forever to get seated bc they close off certain sections.
When greeted the hosts tells me there will be a 5 minute waited . I really did not see the point of that when their where hardly any cars in the parking lot. When brought to our table . I noticed how it was just right around the Conner . The waiter took a little longer than normal .
Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. But I ordered a chicken sandwich and the top bun was burnt black. So I simply set it to the side and proceeded to eat the chicken with a fork and knife. The breading was so hard on two of the sides my knife hardly cut through it and I couldn't eat it. Once I had finished the good part of the chicken my waiter came over and took the bun back to the kitchen to let them know.
The manager came out to talk with me and offered to remake the sandwich... But I was already finished eating the bulk of the meal and I had already ordered a dessert, so I declined. When it came time for the bill I was offered a 10% discount on a $25 bill.
I'm not a Karen and didn't fuss or make a scene. Just leaving my review.
Went in to get the endless riblets/shrimp/chicken right at open. Waitress was polite. First two plates of riblets were lukewarm and I had to bring it up to the waitress for the problem to be fixed; third one was nice and hot. Garlic Parmesan chicken was a bit.. Odd to put it in one way. Just look at the pic I attached; the one with cheese on top was it. Chicken and shrimp were nice and hot from the start; fairly standard food taste. Wouldn't order it again but it filled my stomach at least.
Service was slow, like really slow, no way it takes 40 minutes for a burger. Not to mention I was told I could do half and half wings and then some other person said no. Like make up your mind? Tell me what I actually can order. Very disappointed. One lady made a big deal over the way we were sitting at a table. She seriously ruined my dining experience and is the main reason this is a bad review, I'd consider firing her because she's rude and condescending, she spoke to me like I'm a child.
EDIT: the woman is the manager. And gee golly she's rude. Our server was very sweet. But yeah
The food was good but there was something hard in my burger. I didn't wanna complain out of fear that the manager would be rude again.
Service is 4 stars only because of the kind waitress, I would give one star for the manager.
THE BARTENDER, *HEATHER* IS A LIFESAVER & honestly some people just aren't meant to be servers but Heather has great customer service and is quick kind and professional. The atmosphere of this Applebee's could definitely be improved and upgraded- the food is good it could also be a bit improved but it's definitely not bad. Honestly I think the best part was the drinks and appetizers the strawberry lemonade is super refreshing and delicious on a hot day and the appetizer that has everything in it, the mozzarella sticks boneless wings and mini quesadillas-*that appetizer is delicious, and filling! I would definitely be willing to come back and these are improvements that are doable-And I would like it to be known that this 5 stars goes to Heather and I would give My overall experience maybe, a 3.
I've been a server for two years at a breakfast reasuturant. I had heard Applebee's was hiring so I went in and and introduced myself. I guess I spoke to the assistant manager because he told me to apply on the website. Went to the website and showed nothing available so i called the store again to see how I go about it. I guess the real manager answered the phone in a extremely rude tone. I had said I was just in there and spoke to a manager, her response " no you didn't I'm the manager " in a super disrespectful tone. Then I proceed to tell her the websites not showing anything , her response " you have to apply on indeed and if there's any openings we'll call you" again in a super disrespectful tone. I can't believe she's a manager talking to people with the attitude she had. And I even called in the morning as soon as they open so no one was in the reasturant. I know they weren't busy at all so I wasn't inconveniencing anyone. After I applied on indeed I went back in to let them know I did. Got nothing but death stares from what I'm assuming was the actual manager. Very shitty people skills if you ask me. Definitely glad I won't be working here. Their hostess is a regular of mine and she's the one who told me to apply. Very disappointed.
