My son and I went to Applebee's last week. I would say it was eh ok, Mediocre. The service was good, at times, and in the beginning of our meal, but then started lacking. We sat there many times with no service and she didn't check on us. My son was out of his drink several times & I had to wave her down to come over. Finally she came by and I found out she was the bartender, AS WELL as the waitress. No wonder we didn't see her much. When they have an all you can eat special, they really need to have extra wait staff, That are actually working. And to top it off, we never saw a manager who came by and "touched" our table. (To see how we were doing or if we needed anything). But then I saw a lady in a different colored shirt, so I asked her to come over. She came over to our table finally. I asked if she is the manager and she said yes. then she sort of answered my question, (that we needed our check, after we had been waiting 15 mins). Which then the manager pointed at the little computer on the table. She didn't offer to help us work it out, we just had to go through the menus and figure it out ourselves.
However, I wanted to pay cash not with a card, which is what that machine takes.. is card only. So again we had to wait for someone to come back & take the cash. It just felt like we were ignored most of the time. The food was good... when we got it.. & the all u can eat/refills were good. It just felt awkward. I've had better service there before... maybe it was just a bad night for the 2 people we encountered.
We stopped in a couple months ago and had a not-so-great experience, between the food coming out cold and service being subpar, we weren’t sure we’d be back. However, this weekend we decided to give them another chance and had a fantastic time! We sat down in the bar area and our server, I believe her name was Jessica, was very friendly and attentive. Our Perfect Margaritas were delicious, food came out fast and fresh, and even the manager stopped by to make sure everything was going smoothly! Definitely an improvement from the last time we were here. We will definitely be back!
We spent 100 dollars on this nasty food as a single mom I don’t get a lot of money so it was a once in awhile thing and the food was burnt I called them they said they can re make it but now we have to pick it up mind you we live 30 mins away we go there the manger was so rude about it and said the only compensation they can give me is a 10 dollar gift card I said okay that’s fine even though it costs more than that to get it delivered we got home and it’s the same just a little less burnt they won’t do anything about it I’m so over it. oh yea and I paid almost 6 dollars for the “basket” of French fries the picture is below
This place is a joke. My bill was $52, tip included. I simply ordered one entree item and three appetizers (car side to go) to be ready for a football party & they forgot to put in my order in. This order was slated to go at a certain time & they were 15 minutes late getting it to me! I had to go inside and ask where the curbside order was. Not only was I missing items from this order, but most of the food was cold and inedible. Our stuff wasn’t complicated either, just fried stuff - but waitstaff couldn’t even ensure that what they were serving us was edible and/or NOT going to make us sick; so we ended up tossing out the entire order. This was a bummer, because the gift card we used on the meal was a birthday gift, so I should/could say ‘thanks Applebees for ruining my birthday!’ as a sign-off for this review! 0/5 stars, if I could.
Devin was my server and she was incredible. Didn't have to wait for anything its like she has a superpower and knew exactly what we needed before we even did.
Devin is definitely an asset to this restaurant and you should ask for her any chance you get
I had ordered the chicken bacon cheese fries with no ranch on it my friends came out and they did not even have chicken on them she said she had to make it fresh so by the time she made it everything else was cold plus there's put entirely way too much cheese sauce on there and you couldn't even taste anything else it was not a good experience
Lindsey was our waitress and she was more focused on the bar than all of her other tables. I get the bar moves fast but we sat and waited for 10 minutes for our drinks while she chatted at the bar, people that came in after us got their drinks before we did and their waitress was so friendly and sweet. It wasn’t even busy there were maybe 20 people plus my husband and kid only having 3 tables with her bar. She was very rude and cold to our table. All we wanted was a nice family lunch after a busy morning.
We've been to Applebee's before and had mediocre to good experiences - never particularly poor, but also not great.
In this case, the service we received was very good. Our waiter was attentive, nice, and helpful with suggestions. The tables and restaurant were also clean and tidy.
The food was fair. My hamburger was better than my wife's pasta, but both were lacking in flavor and just fairly "blah". Later in the afternoon, both of us had stomach issues; mine, minor and my wife's, very strong.
Overall, not the worst experience ever, but considering that there wasn't much flavor and we both had some stomach problems later, I think we'll probably choose a different place for next time.
