Upon arriving to pick up our food, I requested some A1 sauce for my steak. I was then told I would be charged for it. I asked why? Because this is offered for free at the table when eating in. I asked to speak to the manager and the manager said because it comes complimentary when you order food. I said I did order food. I just ordered my food to go. I was then told I was going to be charged $1.08 for steak sauce. When the waitress attempted to ring it up there was no option to charge for said steak sauce. Poor customer service on the managers side for sure.
I visited for Veterans Day and was seated at the bar. After waiting 13 minutes without anyone greeting me or asking for my drink order, I decided to leave instead of receiving my complimentary meal. It seems the staffing levels decrease each year, making it increasingly difficult to dine there. Veterans Day is my favorite holiday. thanks for letting me down.
Went for lunch the day after Thanksgiving met family there. The hostess at the door was rude and when I told her we had 6 people she said we are understaffed so u will have to set at the bar. Had to wait for ever to be waited on and then when we ordered it took forever to get our food. The men’s restroom was nasty dirty they turned the music up so loud that we couldn’t hear each other talk. We will not be returning. Very unprofessional! Oh but the one good thing that I do have to say is that the Margarita I drank was wonderful. Our meals were burnt broccoli was undercooked and ribs were burnt. We love the Applebees in Warsaw Indiana very good food and very pleasant atmosphere.
Went there tonight, was told we need to wait 16 minutes for a open table.
Half the tables was open and nobody sitting at them.
Another 15 minutes go by after being seated, ordered wife's cocktail and my cola.
Ordered food when the cola got dropped off.
15 minutes later they said the bartender has not started making her oh my mango drink yet.
We said forget the drink if it takes that long about 20 minutes .
Wife said she wouldn't enjoy her meal from that point so we got up and left.
Sorry Apple bees in Huntington it appears you won't let anyone be eating good in the neighborhood.
Went to Mecates had great service
Took 3 minutes to get her drink.
Great food and no waiting for a empty table to free up.
We will not be back here again.
Waited 10-15 to be seated without anyone acknowledging us. Then heard the older lady working the hostess stand say she couldnt seat anyone for 30 minutes. There were plenty of empty tables and it looked like plenty of servers. This hostess wasnt very friendly also. So we walked out and went elsewhere, doubt we will be back until this problem is solved. We have heard from other people that had the same experience, sounds like management doesnt care about losing customers.
I ordered one of the best crispy chicken sandwiches I've ever eaten. Juicy and crispy, food was excellent and service was too. Updated my overall review to 5 stars, hope they keep up the good experience.
A bit disappointed. Service was lackluster at best. The chips served with starters were terribly stale. Waitresses were communicating by yelling across the restaurant at one another. While my meal was ok at best my husbands meal was left largely uneaten. After a long day of travel we had hoped for a better overall experience.
Walk into the restaurant. I look around and I think "what happened" for some reason they are only using half the restaurant.... "maybe it flooded or something." The old lady working the front, as the host screams at me and my family. "It's going to be like 10 or 15 mins!" I'm like "okay why are we not using that side?" Well I guess the manager doesn't staff that side till 2pm..... Which I have never heard that before. I'm going to shut down half my business do to staffing. As I suspected the manger was sitting on his ass in the office. Sooo instead of working as a server himself to make thinks work for that day they just said screw it and shut in down. I've never been a fan of Applebee's anyway, just go there for the kids. It's not just the kids being lazy today. It's also the leadership or lack there of....... do better and lead.
