Nicole was amazing! Attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. She really made our meal enjoyable. Highly recommend her service!
The worst experience ever!
came in from out of town for a quick bite to eat so we ordered an appetizer which we waited for over an hour only to have received it cold. 1st we had to seat ourselves, no problem since the restaurant was relatively empty. Amanda (our initial waitress) who took our order after a 10 minute wait, then told us they were in the middle of a shift change and assured us that our food was being prepped to come out and Julian (waiter #2) would be taking over. After waiting 30 minutes still no food /waiter. Walked over to waiters station to inquire about our food and we were AGAIN told the food was on its way out. To add insult to injury, food arrived cold! We notified Julian who brought it to the attention of his manager Dakota who agreed the food was cold and apologized. He then took the food away and promised us the fresh food would be out within 7 minutes. Fifteen minutes later- after not receiving our food, we decided to leave.
Nate was an exceptionally kind and genuine server for my family and I tonight! He was tentative and diligent to tend to our every request and question for the menu. All with a bright smile
Went in on a random Sunday after a flight in from GRR. Sat at the bar for 10 minutes before being acknowledged while two others sat and were immediately tended to. I gave my order and pointed to it on the menu. Bar tender nodded...assuming that he understood.
Drink came. That was correct. Waited another 15-20 minutes until the food came. Ordered traditional wings, they came out boneless. Waited longer for the bar tender to come out. I told him they were supposed to be traditional. He apologized and put in another order. When the order came I was disappointed in the quality of the wings and they were overcooked and barely had any meat on them.
I told the bartender I wanted to cash out and took another 10 minutes before the bill came, which was from the manager. She set the bill down and was charged for both orders of wings and had already ran my card.
We are now about 50 minutes in total and many mistakes had been made.
I waited another 5 minutes before the bartender came back out, told him the issue, then disappeared to get the manager. She came out and went through and rang everything up again. I had to give my card back to be swiped again. No acknowledgement from the manager of making a mistake or wait time...nothing.
What I had hoped for a quick bite after a long flight turned in to over an hour with low grade wings and below average service.
Will not be back to this location.
Always nice to have a place close to home with good food and service (Nicole is the best) when the weather conditions are so bad. The lower prices help make it doable in this economy. Our place to go for a relaxing meal.
Applebee's this is not your fault which is why you received 4 stars, food is good and so has been the service. However you might want to protect your customers vehicals from TOTAL WINE SHOPPING CARTS. My mother's vehical was hit and damaged and it makes you nervous to park there. Not even a gift/coupon card was offered by total wine.
I have 3 Applebee's that I tend to and Nicole at the 28th St., Kentwood location is great with all services and she rocks the bar when ever she is working!!
Nicole at the 28th street location is AMAZING! She knows our names, our orders, and remembers what we got last time. Feels like a family atmosphere and the food comes out quickly too. We love Applebees! Always our go to.
