First visit, and was very impressed with the Mushroom Swiss burger. I expected something puny, and instead it was huge, and very flavorful. The only disappointment, was our server, Kion, who after initially taking our order, all but disappeared. Someone else brought our food, and he didn't show up again until offering dessert, and then dropping our bill by the table. We had hoped to receive an offer refills, which never came. Perhaps some coaching or retraining will give this young man a passion and urgency to provide a higher level of customer service. Check it out for yourself and see what you think!
Great experience at Applebee's today. We went just before noon and it wasn't too busy, which we enjoyed. Our waiter was great... he was pleasant, helpful, and just gave overall great service.
We did the 2 for $30 on the menu... opting for the BBQ boneless chicken. Then I got the 8oz steak, with fries (and a side of mexi-ranch to dip them in, which I highly suggest you try), and my father got the bourbon burger. It all tasted great.
They've added a new dessert since the last time I went, which is the Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, so we tried those. We were not disappointed, and they were soooooo delicious!! I would get them again in a heartbeat.
If you are in the Columbia Heights/Fridley area, definitely stop by this Applebee's. It's located right off 694 and Central Ave, heading south... right next to Menards.
I was passing thru and needed a quick bite to eat. I always enjoy the oriental chicken salad. The chicken tasted like they needed to change their fryer oil. Bread stick tasted off, almost like fake garlic, I couldn't put my finger on it. Other than that crispy lettuce, dressing is always good. Quick service. The waiter is just doing the bare minimum. No up selling, asking for dessert, upselling drinks. The host was pleasant but quiet. The atmosphere was typical. Decent music playing. Clean bathrooms and smelled nice.
Out of all the Twin cities area locations, this one is my fav. It’s close to my job and better than the one across the street from my home in Blaine.
The staff is always great, the food is always cooked how I like it and the drinks always hit the right spot. I would consider myself a regular not only because it’s close to work but also because my daughter and I love this location. They never disappoint.
Stopped by Applebees on my way home and was served by Elizabeth. Every time I go to Applebees the service is not good, but this time was different. She went above and beyond to refill drinks promptly, being sweet to my daughter and timing our food perfectly. She’s the best Applebees server I’ve ever had. I’ll come back just to visit her lol
Great place to eat, went there for there happy hour specials. Ordered the wonton tacos, the chicken wings, spinach dip, and the pretzels. Would have scored all 5’s but our waitress never gave us napkins we had to ask her. Besides that she was great. Highly recommend this place.
Are waitresses was fabulous!!! I don't remember her name but it was Saturday 9/14/2024 and it was around 10:00 . We ate the Steak dinner and the chicken dinner a few drink specials. The Bahama Mama's for excellence thank you so much!!????
Disappointed. Our table waitress was very sweet. I ordered a bloody with no olives, pickles only. Got a bloody full of olives. Table waitress took the bloody back and bartender took out the olives said they made a fresh drink but sent the same one back. I hate the taste of olives and I couldn’t drink the bloody. Bartender said she had to grab pickles from the kitchen then sent table waitress back with the information that they Didn’t have ANY drink spear pickles. Offered plate pickles. We got our entrees and mine had a long black hair laying across the plate. I told the waitress immediately just as she set down the plate she was awesome and took it back and said the manager would be over The manager never came and we left. Neither of us finished our beverage and my husband never touched his food. We didn’t pay.
3 stars to waitress - none of it was her fault. Kitchen and bar sucked.
