My dad and I enjoyed a free Veterans Day lunch courtesy of Applebee's. I ordered a burger and it was outstanding. It was very crowded due to the large number of my fellow veterans but the staff had things planned out and made everything work. Our server was Chris Stapleton, an assistant manager. He was amazing.
While my family walked in we we're promptly greeted and seated by host Bailey, she was very friendly.
Server September, took our drink and food order promptly, but after that, drink refills we're hard to get as we didn't see our server for a while even though the restaurant was slow before dinner rush had come in. Had to flag down another server when we needed assistance. Once we got our food, everyone's meal was delicious except my father's steak that was completely rare, we asked them to fix it and by the time they brought out the steak cooked properly, the sides we're cold; my Bourbon Mushroom Swiss Burger had a nice kick to it and was cooked nicely.
I ordered a meal to go. Never order from Applebee's but thought I would try it. I ordered a Blackened Shrimp Ceasar Salad and Garlic Green Beans to go.
First, I wanted a fresh dinner. Not sure if the green beans were canned? I don't usually eated canned vegs. So, disappointed there. The salad had super Cajun shrimp! So hot it was hard for me to eat. Lots of shrimp but I can't tolerate the heat. I had to add croutons and parmesan cheese. The breadstick was stale.
Not worth the $20+ I spent.
Darn.
Brandy the bartender is amazing! Great drinks and friendly service, especially during happy hour. Tris was an exceptional manager who made sure everything was perfect. All around great experience!
We were ignored when we walked in so we grabbed menus and seated ourselves. Many of the tables were not bussed. We should have left then but I was with 93 yr old Dad. They deliberately would not let us catch their eye, it was ahile before they acknowledged we were there. Steak dinner came fast. Brother's 12 Oz prime was sliced so thin it could've been on a sandwich. My Mashed garlic potatoes were cold, broccoli barely warm. Steak done perfect. Wish we had gone somewhere else. Will not come here again.
This was my first time having Applebee's. I got the 50¢ boneless wings and honestly for 50¢ they weren't bad at all. The workers were kind but stretched thin among the oodles of older folk who seem to swarm this place, resulting in us waiting a fairly long time to be able to pay our tab.
But again, I got 20 wings for $10, it's a three star restaurant but a three star restaurant I would go to again.
Great food after a long day. We stopped in for lunch after traveling for 12 hours. We got our food in a timely manner and for a pretty fair price compared to other places. Our service was slow but they may have been understaffed. I’m willing to go back there and have it again!
Sarah seated us in the high pub chairs and Brandi who also works in the bar area was our server. These women are some of the hardest working. I watched, while waiting for our food, them hustling about busing tables and taking orders. Our food was sizzling and delicious. Brandi checked on us several times, and although the restaurant filled up, we never felt neglected. Great teamwork by all! P.S. I started filling out the table survey, but it timed out while I was asking how to spell her name. This was the 3rd time Brandi has served us and always a pleasure. I hardly remember to do reviews.
