First time we have been to the Emporia location, It was very good. We will be going back
Second visit to Applebee's in Emporia, got the pasta with honey chicken tenders... was not good at all
Everything was perfect on this visit. The food was awesome; it was cooked perfectly. The service was fast and friendly. We always sit at the bar. The bartender is high speed and doesn't miss a beat. And the atmosphere was great.
20 minutes to be seated then 45 minutes to get food only 6 tables with people at them. Reason for 1 star on service is because I can't put negative stars on here. Highly recommend don't waste your time coming here unless you have hours to waste. I will not recommend this location to anyone.
The 3 times I go around 9 p.m. on saturday the food it's nasty and depressive like my ex mom. The servers prefer to stay at the end of the bar in group talking until a order on the kitchen comes out then they decide to move and take new orders.
Sat at the bar, horrible stench! Ordered the Patron Margarita, that was good. The Ceasars salad, brown as in photo's. The sirloin with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli, I ordered the steak med rare, came to me rare, sent it back, came to me medium. Mashed and broccoli were alright. Ordered another drink, not so great, not sure what she done but .... hum!
In the end, met some people and enjoyed!
I tried the quesadilla burger paired with an ultra draft which both complimented each other just great. Afterwards, I had their chocolate cake with ice cream.
Understaffed which isn't the business' problem, it's the community's, but we shouldn't have to wait at all for somewhere that isn't full. Waited for a refill for over 20 minutes and food was way over salted. Our waiter was trying his hardest and we tipped him for that but overall a bad experience.
It was fine till we got our food. Mine was fine,but my husband couldn't eat his salad. Very dry!!! He found Very little dressing. Extra dressing would have cost more. Ridiculous!! After I finished, the waitress asked if we wanted a to go box.For what??? Something we couldn't eat in the restaurant!! We had already told her how dry it was. Then she asked if we wanted dessert. Hell no!!!! Never go back.
