I ordered food tonight on grub hub… I don’t know who the cook was but they should be fired! This food is awful.. overcooked with no seasoning. Blue cheese dressing was like water, dry steak and shrimp. They did not even add my toppings I paid for. Management PLEASE treat delivery orders the same as if the customer was sitting in your establishment! You definitely lost me as an online customer
When I come to Indiana, I always make a stop at the Applebees in Merrillville, and I always order the boneless wings with mashed potatoes. On Friday June 14th, I place my usual order and I have never been so disappointed. The mashed potatoes tasted like paste and the last four wings were so hard, I couldn't eat them . I asked the server to replace them and she said that her manager said no. I asked to speak to the manager, and when he came to my table, I was shocked. He had walked past my table a couple of times and did not look my way. Managers greet the guest and ask them if they need anything. They "touch" every table and check in. I would never have known he was the manager. I told him I couldn't eat the wings, and he said "well what do you want?" I said "I want wings I can eat, do you not see what I see?" And I hit a wing with my fork. I turned on my video, and I told him to cut the wing. He slammed the fork in the wing quickly, then dropped the fork down on the plate. It took him some effort to cut a second wing, however, he refused to replace the four wings. Well, upon my return to Tennessee, I ordered some wings "carside" at the Applebee's located at 3066 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville Tennessee. As always, every wing was delicious and only required the plastic fork to slice. I have included pictures of both orders. I truly wish the manager at Indiana was required to come to Tennessee for additional training. He is the worst customer service professional I have ever encountered. I truly feel sorry for his staff. As long as he is the manager, I will have to stop at another restaurant when I come back to Merrillville.
I ordered food for carry out... When I got home I found that there were several things wrong with the order... I went back to the restaurant and the manager, Jeremiah took care of me. The food was on point! He made sure that everything was fresh and cooked the way it was supposed to be. Not only did he redo the food for me once I showed him what was wrong...He gave me complimentary drink while I waited. He handled it very kindly and professionally. Thank you Jeremiah ???? Walked right in and sat down. Ordered food and our server was VERY nice. The staff was great.
After having a horrible experience at the VALPO Applebees , my wife and I used a gift card at this location . I was completely surprised how great the service was the manager Al was super attentive working hard cleaning table, refilling drinks I am not use to seeing such great team work . My waitress Tabitha was amazing ! She was kind and attentive. My food come out so fresh and hot ! The steak was really good I will eat at this location again !
Overall experience was just gross. Half the sampler appetizer was burnt, cold, and tasted spoiled. Our main dishes were disgusting. The riblets had balrely any sauce on them and every Applebees I’ve been to had plenty of sauce and didn’t taste like burnt chemicals. We had to complain about the food twice. There was no apology the server literally had an attitude about it like we were saying it was her fault when we were not. If she were actually nice about it and had some sort of good customer service skill we would have tipped her well but no one that acts like that is getting a dime from me. Also they said they were serving no more alcohol the rest of the night which was fine with us but then brought a tall glass of beer to the table in front of us? Last but not least the music was obviously loud and annoying after being seated. It was 10:30pm the music doesn’t need to be that loud when there’s literally like 2 seated tables in the whole restaurant. I can get better food AND service at the gas station or McDonald’s.
Made us wait 20-30 because of a so called large crowd but the place was not even 20% full didn't apologize for the wait or anything it was very quiet employees standing around bar on there personal phones not even greeting us n all that come through the door we have to ask can we get a table then tell us to wait because there texting or talking to someone on their phones cursing way like a sailor then finally come up to us say how many and seat up right away no to mention not one person went past us to leave the restaurant from a so called large group an the sat us just fine
Brought my wife and youngest daughter in as we haven't been to an Applebee's in quite a while as our past experiences haven't been top tier.
Tonight that changed. We had amazing time ! The food was pretty good! The restaurant was clean and up to par. And mainly we had amazing service.
Damoni did an absolutely fantastic job keeping up with his tables, and he did it with a great attitude a smile and professionally.
With all the positive things combined we have agreed as a family that we will be returning again!
Great job to this location and the service/management/and cooks! Keep kicking ass yall.
