Stopped in after work wasn't busy sat at bar. Ordered bourbon street chicken and shrimp. Food came out quick and hot on sizzling plate. Pros: It was well seasoned. Every bite was flavorful as it should have been. The amount of food was enough to fill me up. Cons. There were plenty of onions but not many mushrooms. The amount of food for the price of > $16 was not realistic. It was a scoop of potatoes and a very small chicken breast. There were 6 incredibly small shrimp that were season well bit just way to tiny to even appreciate. So overall way to expensive for the amount of food but that's any restaurant now a days. Good flavor which was a plus. Overall 3/5 on the dish.
The new waitress (3rd or 4th night) was great. She handled the big Church group crowd like a boss and gave top customer service throughout. The three waitresses are great. Kept our drink filled, food was brought out hot and the cheese sticks were great. I would return for their service, food, and smiles. New to Grand Rapids and their smiles helped me relax since I'm not too familiar with the surrounding area. Hope to see y'all (waitresses) next Tuesday late late night
This Applebees is outstanding. Emma the Bartender was incredibly helpful and the service was super fast. The French fries are amazing.

Emma literally saved my child from a burning car. She made me a Shirley temple so good that i screamed without the s. Emma I love you, I’m on the ground throwing up and crying. Emma you are the best there ever was, I will be back at the Apple bees just to see Emma. The spinach artichoke dip was a religious experience. I wish I could eat at this apple bees every day :)
My wife ordered a quesadilla burger and the server asked pink or no pink. We plainly said no pink for her and when it came it was medium. The garlic mash potatoes that came with my steam had no garlic flavor. Service was impeccable and my wife received a new meal.
Let me tell you, this place has the best dollar to calorie ratio you can get anywhere. I would 100% recommend the Classic Combo sampler, for $15 you can get your daily intake of calories and more. I’m talking boneless wings, 4 mozzarella sticks, chips with spinach dip, and a whole chicken quesadilla. I mean get in line there’s already one out the door cause everyone is ready to get their own Classic Combo. No need to order for the table, the whole table can order one for themselves! You’ll be eating so good, you’ll never want to leave the neighborhood.
Today I went with my family and the manger laural truly made our experience great. She was open and honest about the current situation the restaurant was in , which truly was appreciated. Her energy was nothing less than godly , she was a true goddess and truly helped my family have a better overall experience.
