One of the most dependable places to go out for a meal. And they always have a revolving drink special. The Captain Bahama Mama was especially good. We had the 2 for $30 special. So the steak was cook to perfection with the steamed broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. The second was the grilled chicken penne with a bread stick. The kids went with the Mac and cheese and the cheeseburger and mozzarella cheese sticks. Talk about eating good. The service was on par with any other well-ran business. And the atmosphere was perfect, the noise level wasn't abusive either like some places.
My steak wasn't quite right but they got it right and it was delicious. It's hard to get the 14oz cooked perfectly to someone's expectation. Serving staff was excellent.
We ate at Applebee's in Burlington Iowa yesterday the service was horrible. We got seated, knew what we wanted to eat when we gave our drink order, so ordered right then. Got our food wasn't very hot, then said she would be out with our coleslaw the cook was preparing it. Must still be doing it because we never got our slaw. Then asked for a drink refill and our waitress disappeared had to get the guy seating people to get us more to drink. Then we had the all you can eat meal and wanted more and had to wait until she appeared. Then my boyfriend went to restroom and I asked for our check and a to go container and she diappeared again. He came back and we waited for what seemed like an eternity til we saw and her again and explained we wanted to leave we had things to do and we needed our check. She went and got it but no to go box. We had to wait for her to go get it. It would have been different if place was busy but it wasn't. For service I give that place -5 stars. She needs to be retrained in customer service. Also it looked a bit tacky that she was wearing her sunglasses atop her head while waiting on people, made me feel like she just couldn't wait to get out of there. Also before I wrote this review I tried to call and speak to a manager and on the order line and the line to talk to someone there, each line would ring twice and say good bye and hang up. Makes me wonder how much business they lost because of this. Makes you wonder how they stay in business.
Absolutely horrible service……my Alfredo was very dry and chicken tasted like rubber. The waiter was very disrespectful, lacking social interaction and seemed to be on drugs. Definitely not worth the money they charge.
Very disappointed this round. ordered steak and Parmesan sirloin well done meal after 40 mins of waiting in food finally get it and cut into it and it’s just start bleeding like it’s rare okay I’m a werid type it completely turned me off the meal so I switched to chicken broccoli Alfredo. manager comes out and says won’t be done for another 30 mins should I take it to go… alright my whole family has ate while i haven’t I say sure and ask for soft broccoli because I don’t like the crunch and blackened seasoning for it. in a. I’d n a bag I take a Quick Look n seen it was so dry didn’t fully check other stuff because I’m ready to go. get the sauce pay tip and leave get home and open it up to eat and ugh broccoli so hard it’s almost raw chicken is horrible and on top no blackened seasoning. Small cup of sauce didn’t even sauce the entire amount of noodles to 3 slices of small chicken. god I love Applebee’s but this by far has been the worst with them! Only reason 5 star service due to my pregnant waitress trying her hardest and the back just couldn’t.
There was one table and we had to wait to be acknowledged to get seated. Service was slow, nobody seemed like they wanted to work. Food was just okay. This whole atmosphere is not normal for an Applebee’s, not from the area so I’m not sure what the issues are. Very inconsistant.
Applebees has changed alot since I've been there about four years ago.. came and ate with a few coworkers , had a good time ! Ordered your chicken ranch club sandwich! Portion was huge! So very good! my friends had steaks they were also good! The waitress Madyson was very nice and did her job very well!
Waited 37 mins for a medium steak and a chicken salad. A medium steak "takes 10 mins." According to the manager. The salad takes just as long. There was 5 tables at 8:55pm on a Friday night. Cooks in the front of the house doing nothing. This place is a serious joke. Terrible service.
