Five stars for Applebees for never letting us down with their quality and quantity of food, drinks, appetizers, and desserts! My husband and I had sweet teas (could tell it was fresh), ribs (plenty of sauce & meat), salmon (perfectly cooked), salads (house ranch is always tasty), and also Buffalo wings (a great appetizer choice!). The atmosphere is always nice: Clean tables and bathrooms, jazzy but not too loud music playing, and the store set up/decor is warm and inviting. However, I do have to add about our subpar customer service. When we walked in, we weren't greeted. The hostess was arranging menus, never looked at us, and blandly said, "Two? Booth or table? Bar or dining room?". She did not acknowledge our answers verbally or physically and did not tell us to follow her; she just walked to our table. Once seated, she told us our waitress' name and left. It's never comfortable to be able to tell that someone's having an off day, and we are hindrances. I honestly don't know about our waitress. She wasn't smiling and friendly, but she wasn't rude. It was 5 minutes before the half off special, so we appreciated that she put in the discount for the wings. Only our teas were brought from the waitress, while the other items were served from a waiter. She did check on us for refills but forgot our wings. The delicious and on time food still outweighs the personable hiccups. Thank you to the chef and cooks! 5 stars with a little hint towards management to pep up the lunch staff.
I recently visited Applebee's in Crosby, Texas and I had a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with friendly staff especially the bartender who made me feel right at home and told me all about it the local community per my request. ????. The menu had a wide variety of options, from classic comfort foods to more adventurous dishes. I decided to try the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp, and it was delicious—the chicken was tender, and the shrimp had the perfect amount of seasoning.
The drinks were also a highlight. I had their Mucho Margarita, which was both refreshing and generously portioned. Throughout my meal, the service was attentive without being intrusive, and the overall vibe was relaxed and enjoyable.
Whether you're looking for a casual place to hang out with friends or a family-friendly dining option, Applebee's definitely delivers. I'll definitely be returning soon!
I ordered the steak with mushrooms on top and the loaded garlic potatoes with extra butter. The steak was very over cooked with no juice at all, which was a shame because the cut of meat itself looked so nice. I have a can of mushrooms in the pantry that have more flavor than what these had. The extra butter I paid for was a tiny dollop in a side container, yet the potatoes had so much sour cream they were inedible. Also the food took so long to be prepared that my delivery driver called several times to apologize, yet also arrived cold. This was not because it was delivered because I’ve gotten food from much farther and it was still warm
Food was Excellent. The service was just ok. Service could've been better especially with a slow night. The brownie bite is small but delicious ????
2nd time to visit this Crosby Tx location. Wait staff needs more training! Food is average. Waitress seemed annoyed when I waited for my change from paying the bill, as if she assumed it was her tip. Every table in our section seemed annoyed with the slow service. Overheard ots of grumbling and comments from nearby tables
Not to impressed & spent $80 for 2 people. Had chips & queso, 2 dinners that were eehh & a dessert. Our waiter was i guess to busy with something in the kitchen, i had to raise my hand when i did see him to get his attention. Management lady had skin tight clothes that was very unprofessional & not flattering to look at. Steak was ordered medium rare & got medium well & steak looked like a hamburger patty. Fajitas trio had only 3 shrimp & majority was rice. I ate 1 cold tortilla & asked for fresh ones & got the old ones that was just warmed up. Not fresh ones..
My overall experience was under par. My biggest complaint was the prices for the quantity/quality. $4 for a salad when i asked for it to be a side for my meal, 3 shrimp in a $19 meal.. I don't think I'll be back.
I’ve lived in Crosby since 2009; my then BF now husband said I don’t like Applebee’s. I thought he was being to hard on them.
Well they just proved him right.
I ordered a simple 2x25 deal & thought I was getting a great deal. Hell I thought it was awesome I could order a margarita to go. I have to pick up since no one delivers to SpindleTop.
They forgot my margarita. The one thing I really wanted. The food was meh. I know it cools on the drive home,but the the thick, greasy stuck together fries were barely edible. The cheese burger was saved by the bread & cheese, though the wilted lettuce, barely there tomatoes & few pickles look nothing like the picture never mind all the condiments were on the side. At least the fast food places put their sauces on the burgers & don’t make you DIY. Wendy’s does it better
Glad I got the side salads instead of the appetizers. The chicken Alfredo was the star of the show & held up well.
So of course what starts off wrong, just continues to go wrong.
I call about my not margarita, you would think with profit margins on alcohol that would be the 1st thing they got right.
I’m told I will get a refund, it takes 3 days & I only get back $8.99 but not the tax, math is hard for them too.
I’m going to Outlaw Ray’s instead service needs help, but their prices are reasonable, food is really good, their locally owned. Or La Villa $2.99 margaritas on Saturday & Monday always make me smile
Mashed tators was alittle dry. Hard to eat. Meat was prepared excellent. Blue Dew was great.
