I am in love with their bourbon street chicken and shrimp. Service is not great they did not even serve water or cutlery and they took the order after 30 mins wait time
The host was bright and sunny so I guess I was expecting more of the same from our server. She took our order correctly. My boneless wings were only ok. Mostly smaller chunks of chicken not moist inside like bigger nuggets
This is by far my favorite spot to grab a bite to eat and have a few drinks! The bartenders Dennis, Tiffany, and Alex are amazing. The managers Sam and Bryan are awesome! I’ve never had anything but a good time. Nothing but good vibes from this Applebees crew! ♥️♥️♥️
I honestly can’t believe the experience I had at the Applebee’s in Grapevine Mills. My friend and I arrived around 11:20 pm for a late dinner, and when we walked in, a lady at the door told us that the dining room was closed but the bar area was still open and serving the full menu. She even let us pick a table, so we chose a half booth, half table in the corner, thinking everything was fine. But then, after waiting for about five minutes, a bald man—who I assume was another bartender—came over to us in the most rude and aggressive way. He immediately started harassing us, telling us it was "against the law" for us to even be there, saying no outside drinks were allowed (even though it was just a tumbler of water), and demanding to see our IDs.
We tried to explain that the water was necessary for medication I’m currently taking and that I needed to stay hydrated, but he completely ignored us and kept lecturing us. It felt like we were being treated like criminals for something totally innocent. We weren’t even sitting at the bar—we were at a table, just trying to enjoy a meal like anyone else. His approach was completely unnecessary and uncalled for, especially since we hadn’t even been given menus or silverware yet.
I’ve always enjoyed Applebee’s and have had great experiences, but after this, I will NEVER return to this location. I felt humiliated and completely disrespected by the way we were treated. It was honestly such a disappointing experience that we ended up leaving, feeling embarrassed and mistreated. I would’ve gladly ordered a drink or whatever else was needed to make it right, but instead, we were made to feel like we were doing something wrong for simply having a drink of water. Absolutely terrible experience.
The food when it finally arrived was good. Took a long time to get it out though. I think they are understaffed. There were a lot of dirty tables. The servers were clearing those themselves between orders. The restroom had a locker room smell to it. Have not been to an Applebee's in a long time. Might try a different location.
PASS IT BY... To say the service was horrible is an understatement. There was no communication for about 45 minutes, and when the server finally came out, she had nothing to say about why our food was not out yet. She only asked if we needed a refill of our water. Once we got the food, some orders were incorrect. Some were cold.
Then, to add insult to injury, the bill was wrong, showing a double charge for items. It took an additional 30 minutes for the waitress to get the bills prepared, closed out, and bring our credit card or change back to us.
When the manager finally came over (after we requested him), he lied about the dining room being full as an excuse. We could see the main dining room and it was never full while we were there
I would NEVER go back to that location.
The service is absolutely terrible. From the time you step foot insjde the restaurant. Everyone looks like they don't know what to do. I don't blame the employees, it's definitely the leader/manager of the restaurant. I like the food but it's not worth it. Save your time and go eat at another restaurant. 0 stars but I had to hit 1.
Have been there before and had no issues. Current staff needs serious training or be replaced. We walked in and was seated however no one came up to our table for good 15-20 minutes. We asked for a waiter/waitress and still got no response. We decided to get up and go to the Lewisville Applebees. I asked for a manager to explain the situation as we were walking out, they said give us a second, walked into kitchen and a few second later said manager will be a few minutes. Obviously the staff has no urgency, even Friday night when staff should be prepared.
