The food was good. The service was very slow. If you're on a schedule. This is not your place. The food was good. I thought the bill was a bit high. It's a good place to eat. Just don't expect to be overwhelmed.
I hope my experience tonight is not the average for this establishment. As part of a larger group (24), I am willing to be lenient to a degree. However, our reservation was made weeks ahead. Our reservation was for 5pm, so slightly before evening rush.
The more significant reason for this poor review was service times for food were extremely long.
After waiting 45 minutes to have our orders taken (this okay, just because it was a large group), it took another 45 for 3 appetizers to arrive. Another 10-15 for our food to start arriving.
When food was being delivered, there was no recollection for where the food belonged (nor was it delivered table by table, but rather all tables at once, over a 15 minute period.
Our server was nice, and never showed any signs of frustration. She did mostly serve our party alone.
Smaller issues that are not influencing the rating-
Some plates had messy rims, showing thumb prints and sauce splatters.
My salmon was not very well seasoned for being "blackened Cajun"
Food was served Luke warm.
Sweet tea was hardly sweetened
Mozzarella sticks for ordered but never arrived
Positive notes-
Salmon was not dry.
Mashed potatoes were fresh and good flavor.
Steak was cooked to right doneness.
Owner visited with my grandparents.
Atmosphere was generally clean and good decor, with support for local college teams, and music playing the background.
I ordered 12oz ribeye with broccoli and mashed potatoes.
It took 45mins to get it. It was cold. The broccoli was sour tasting and the mashed potatoes were cold and tasted like cardboard. The glass of water tasted and smelled moldy.
I said something about it and the charge was removed from my bill.
It's a disgrace that restaurants don't care about the quality of the foods that they make. It was noon when I arrived and the place wasn't even near busy. It all boils down to nobody cares anymore. Not management or cooks.
Unpleasant experience, made steak wrong tough over cooked the whole time I was there I didn’t eat at all after my whole party was done eating 10 min after I got my food and had to ask for to go box because everyone at my table was done already 3rd time this has happened and they refused to give discount after making me pretty much sitting there watching everyone eat after messing up my plate. 89$ could of made it right and manager refused to come talk to me and dispute it she just said to my server no we can’t do discount. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!
First time at any Applebee's. The chicken fajita wrap was awesome. I wasn't there long, but the interior was very clean, a lot of local pictures on the walls. I hope the staff gets used to seeing me, I will be a regular ????
Went for my son's birthday dinner and arrived at 5:20 pm, it wasn't very busy. The waitress seemed disinterested and unavailable. I got fiesta chicken wrap, it was mediocre at best. My husband got "all you can eat" shrimp, and my son got "all you can eat" boneless wings. It took almost an hour to get our food. When we asked for a 2nd round of the all you can eat items, it took 10 mins to get 5 shrimp and it took almost 30 mins for them to bring out the 2nd round of 4 bineless wings... at that point we had been there over an hour and a half, and my teenager was still hungry when we left, but we didn't want to wait another 30 mins for a few more bites of food. Will probably never go back.
First off, I am a firm believer in 1 bad experience doesn't classify a bad business but literally the last 3 times we've ate there, twice the food has been cold, and one our chicken wasn't cooked properly. This last time we ordered an appetizer of beef nachos to split as our meal and when we told the waitress it was cold, she said do u want another set? I'm thinking, nah I didn't wanna eat tonight...of course I want u to try again. When this set came out it didn't even look like the first (1st cold set had just queso Blanco, 3nd set had orange nacho cheese on it, consistency is not their strong point aside from always getting cold food).
I think the waitress was also partially to blame for the cold issue as I feel the plate sat there a bit for the cheese to have been rubber.
Sorry, but 3 strikes and you are out for me, we won't be back.
I don't complain generally. But I have never had service this bad. 2 and half hours start to finish. Our glasses was empty almost the entire time, I never got my salad. I asked for a refill and the salad to be removed. We then waited 15 min for my drink no one else was asked if they needed refills and never an apology. After asking for a bill we then waited while she walked around and finally realized she forgot us again. We waited over a hour for food.
