I had an amazing time. Our waitress Kayla was super nice and outgoing. She checked on us and made sure we were taken care of! My group of 3 all pitched in 10 dollars. She deserves a great tip for excellent service! Also food was amazing and had flavor. Alcohol and wine was perfect.
So this is a hit and miss review. They weren't very busy, but the service was pretty slow. The bourbon and shrimp dinner was very good, but the cheeseburger was fairly bland. The boneless chicken appetizer was great, and the buffalo sauce was very tasty. The onion rings were as good as you can get. The men's bathroom rated below expectations. Smelled like a gas station bathroom. This restaurant needs some guidance.
Dollar margaritas were better than expected. Restaurant clean, quiet, nice lighting. Bar tender waited table, was polite and timely. Food acceptable but not impressive in any way. Bacon cheeseburger with side of garlic green beans, which were canned. Fried chicken sandwich with fries. Margaritas, only lime, out of other flavors.
There were only 4 tables, 2 had food before we ordered. Half our food came out 7 minutes before the rest, and we wanted to eat together. That means some of us ate cold food. When I brought it to their attention they said they weren't sure how to help us. Over all food was not good. Chicken was tough and hard to chew and burger tasted like it was old meat. It will be our first and last time eating there. Bummer it was such a bad experience.
The food and atmosphere were wonderful. The service was also very good. On veterans Day, I was served a small top sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The steak was cooked to order beautifully and they still have the best mashed potatoes in town.
They weren’t busy but still had to wait to be seated. I had grilled chicken, garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. He had half rack of ribs, small rack, not tender and not very meatier, FF. He thought he should get Cole slaw, his meal was $18.00+ but no just the ribs, potatoes. Was smaller than Madison.
Very bad food, I ordered some chicken wings an look ugly, looked like made yesterday!????

His name was Jimmie...w/an "ie".
I was having a hard night.. Work sucked.
Jimmie was receptive and aware on another level.....
He read me like a book. His ability to have this infectious happiness and calming demeanor is amazing.. Absolutely AMAZING!!!!!
I recommend Jimmie at Applebee's on Milton Avenue in Janesville...
He is a bartender.....
