I ordered the bourbon street chicken and shrimp and I got 4 piece's of shrimp and grilled chicken. It has no bourbon seasoning on it at all. It looks like they boiled a boneless chicken breast and then threw it on the grill to give it the grill lines and that's it. My fries were cold, and so was the chicken and shrimp. And what is bad is I was there waiting for my food before it was done, so why was it cold? It honestly seems like they took someone else's order that was never picked up and they heated it up in the microwave and gave it to us.and they can't say it's because I picked it up and drove home because I had my wife give me my fries on the way home like right after she got in the car I asked for them as I was pulling out and it was cold as ice. I figured well maybe the chicken and shrimp is why we were waiting for 30 mins. But it's just as cold as the fries. I normally don't go here because the last time I came here was 10 years ago and the food sucked then too. I figured me and my wife would give them another chance and now I wish I hadn't wasted the time or money. If I had seen what they were giving me for chicken and shrimp I would have asked for my money back. I honestly would not even pay anything for this meal that they charged me almost 20 for.
Applebee's good as usual Tyreka D our server did an outstanding job on helping guide us through the menu and drinks and drink specials.
Great job TYREKA D. we had left a close by Mexican restaurant for lack of service. Tyreka said you won't wait while I take care of you and she didn't break her word or disappoint!
My wife and I went here to the Leland Applebees this evening ( August 23, 2024) and we were shocked and disgusted by the service we received. We have been coming to this establishment for years but after this evening we will no longer be bringing our business here and we will be letting others know of how this business treats Veterans and their families. It all started after my wife and I were seated. Within about two minutes of us being seated our server (Melissa D.) came to our table and out of no where says, what do you want? She didn’t introduce herself or say anything except what do you want? I pointed at my wife so that her order could be taken first and Melissa D. Says to me, why are you having her say her order first? I responded that my wife was a woman and it was the proper thing to do. Melissa D. became very confrontational and aggressive towards myself and my wife. She became very impatient and let it be known while my wife and I were deciding what we wanted to drink. After waiting an extremely long period of time for drinks to be brought to us Melissa D. finally returned with our drinks and asked for our orders. After our orders were taken Melissa D. left and returned roughly 46 minutes later and said to us that our order must not have been put in because she had not seen our order and she recommended that we pay for our drinks and we could go somewhere else or wait and see if our order ever goes through. My wife and I decided to just pay for the drinks we had and just leave. We took our business elsewhere for the evening. I have never experienced this level of disrespect and disregard while eating out at an establishment. What’s funny is there is a drink card on each table talking about how Applebees honors our nations hero’s (Veterans) and this is how I was treated. Not only am I a Veteran but a disabled Veteran who fought for this nation. I have already contacted the Applebees Corporate Office via email and I’m waiting to see how this is handled. I would not recommend to anyone this Applebees in Leland, NC. Floors were filthy and I noticed the wait line in the curbside pickup area was packed with unhappy looking customers who had been waiting an extremely long time for their orders. The server Melissa D. definitely needs to be retrained on customer service skills and how to properly speak with paying customers. You lost my business because of this server and the service we didn’t receive.
Tyreka D. was efficient and friendly, going out of her way to ensure everything was to our satisfaction and our needs were met.
We frequently dine at this restaurant for it’s menu and service but it needs refreshing. Not overly appealing to the eye, entrance has a musty smell and restroom had no paper towels this time and needed a little attention. I did tell our server but went back in after heating to wash hands and was disappointed that there were still no paper towels to wipe my hands. Restaurant was not busy.
We waited 5 minutes at the hostess stand, and no one even looked our way or made an attempt to assist us. Half of the tables were empty, and yet there was a line of people waiting to be sat. It felt more like a funeral than a date night - and this is a Friday at 6:30pm! We wanted to have a fun night and had to leave because we weren’t being taken care of.
When we walked into a half empty restaurant we had to wait a few minutes before anyone who worked there came by. Then we were told they were on a 25 minute wait for seating and wouldn't start seating again for 13 mins. Our name wasn't taken and we weren't offered to sit in the bar area. The next customer came in and was told something similar but handed menus and pointed towards the bar. We walked out and will never be back.
Met my expectations. I always get their crispy oriental chicken salad. My guest enjoyed a house salad and french onion soup. Was disappointed in their tap beverage selection. No IPA at all. ????. Atmosphere was pleasant, staff were helpful. Dining room was clean. Music volume was good.
Placed a pick up order and sat outside over 30 minutes called and got no answer, never got my food. Couldn't get a refund that night and now I can't get an answer today to speak with a manager to get a refund on the food I never received. If I could give this location 0 stars I would.
Update: I have been refunded. However, that still does not make up for the error of not receiving and order that was paid for. How can you forget your customers, is basically what it boils down to. I do appreciate the refund and what seemed like sincere apologies from the day time manager.
